Guest guest
Hi, Tammy & . We got kind of good news today. Our local helmet maker suggested just going with the DOC Band since they are FDA approved. That sure made our decision easier. Now to deal with the insurance company. Hoping since our only choice, they will pay 100%??!! We also get our PT evaluation this week, Thursday. She wasn't going to get me in for two weeks. I asked her if she got the message that we were diagnosed with plag/tort, she didn't. Well, we then got in this Thursday. I guess to get in and get the DOC Band is really easy too. We hope we can get the casting for the band next Friday. Need to wait for MRI and then that is the only day my husband can get off. Hopefully on the right track!! Thanks Tammy & 12/8/

Could they do an x-ray instead? We went thru a CT scan after the x-rays showed open sutures. Looking back, we probably did not need the CT (but it did provide peace of mind.) Just wondering, it is still a good tool, just kind of curious, I hope you dont mind me asking. Kimry
Guest guest
Kimry, I guess he wants to make sure the brain has no pressure and fine. Does that make sense? I asked about a cat scan. That is only a 5 minute procedure I guess. The MRI takes about 1/2 hour. Anyone else think not a good idea? He said he thought everything was fine. A normal 5 month old. Appreciate peoples thoughts. Good luck, everything will be fine! Kimry

Will have to get on the Internet and do a map thing. Tammy & 12/8/99 PS Not looking forward to the drive weekly by myself but worth it!! I told him to not even mention the word cosmetic even if that is a partial reason. I once engaged in a debate with another dr (unrelated to plagio) and I told him to not ever put the word cosmetic on her chart. He said that he would not falsify a medical document BUT the alternative to not treating my daughter's foot condition is a surgery when she is 16 plus knee surgery. Needless to say, I no longer see him & we are now handled by the head of the podiatry dept who is very aware of the power of their documentation!
