Bonsai kittens- this is the cruelest thing you can do to a cat. God knows how

many die in the process. It's disgusting and appauling.

Good.

Still, I don't think it's funny at all. Being the rescuer and

totally-nuts-over-cats person that I am, I think that whoever thought up this

hoax is a sicko. Maybe someone should put THEM in a glass box for a day and see

how they like it. We can call it " Bonsai humans " .

To me, cats are better than most people. They love me unconditionally and don't

give me any crap ( although Mr. Pixel cat likes to play games with me) ;o)

Hi,

Well I knew what Bonsai is, I used to do it.

But Banzai is what the Japanese used to yell when doing the Kamakaze

thing, so I figured it was a Bansai kitten doing some kind of karate

thing or something...

Never knew you could form a cat into a cube that way!

:-)

If you put an aspie in a cube you'd probably have to give him lots of

piercings first. :-) Very Bonsai.

I didn't see any humor in it at all either. To one of the irrational

cat haters out there, I am sure it would have been hilarious. Kind of

like a KKK member would think it was funny to do the same thing to black

people. Nope, not funny to me.

someone better hand me a bag of grips I guess....

irrational - maybe

cat hater - no

cat lover - not one of those either

my first instinct in how to reply to " what is a Bansai Kitten? " was to say

" Do you know about Google? "

from google - where I immediately went for the answer - the link

description said:

" 4cats a site just for cats! Bansai Kitten The site for kittens+art, or,

how to make

your own Bansai Kitten! (yes, it's a joke). Cat-Scan This site is funny.. ... "

I was set up for a joke and I found it funny

never occurred to me someone would take it seriously

/me takes a grip from the bag.....

Humor is notoriously idiosyncratic.

Jane (not having seen the site for lack of web access)

Of course, the point I was trying to make by reference to this rather

dubious joke

is that sometimes I have felt rather like a bonsai kitten myself.

I once represented that feeling with a dance that consisted mostly of

pounding at

an imaginary box that surrounded me. (The music I chose to go with this was

Orbital's " The Box " , btw).

Hi,

I like cats, my impression, hopefully it is accurate, is that no cats

were actually harmed in the production of that website. I certainly

hope no cats were harmed. My impression is that it is someone's

strange sense of humor in action.

I love my little pug dog, if I saw a pug puppy sort of with it's face

softly pressed against the bottom of a large jar as the one kitten

is, so long as the puppy didn't look distressed, I think I could take

it as a joke. I honestly don't think anyone is going to try to form

their cat into a cube or cylinder by making it grow in a glass jar.
