Guest guest
Kassiane not sure I to be to consider it a disorder inthe sense of the word but because it is recognized as Autism Spectrum Disorder I to guess those dx it consider it as such. So in many ways it is considered a disorder by there terms. To me I to see it as simply autism, or a syndrome that can greatly challenge life outcomes. I to think it depends on what level one is at as to which term they would be to prefer to be said of them, many who are of mild and or high levels of functioning see it as simply a different way of being or personality, but to me I to see it as much more than that due to my challenges as to me it can be at times quiet profoundly disabling. But by same time I to be to also be to see myself as uniquely different and just me, in a world that does not understand me. This feeling alone leaves me feeling isolated in life from lack of connecting so to me it is much more than just personality type. That is not to say that you too do not have challenges that consume you too. Sondra
Guest guest
I think I understand what you are saying. We all have our challenges, spectrum or not. I just like to say that my challenges are caused by other people, not my autism *grins* Joking. Sort of. Guest guest
Sondra, Do you have any idea how wonderful you are as person? You are living through hell right now with everything going on with your daughter and yet, you're concerned for . You have such compassion. I'm so embarrassed to say that I was probably the worst teenager ever. I think that I've FINALLY made it up to them but boy did I put my parents through hell. I thought I knew everything and could do whatever I wanted with whomever I wanted. I have no idea how much of this had to do with just puberty itself (which in hindsight was a horrific experience for me) and how much had to do with starting high school. I knew pretty much no one when school started so if someone was nice to me I became their friend, just to have someone to hang with. Usually, they were the wrong sort of person and I started smoking and skipping school, ugghh...just thinking about it all, I'm so embarrassed!! I grew out of it though, (and not a moment too soon as far as my parents were concerned), and then did feel terribly guilt for causing my parents so much pain. So anyway (now that I've just rambled on forever), hang in there and be prepared, sometimes kids do things we'd rather they didn't but it will end eventually. Hopefully:) haha Rhonda Olivia's mom
Guest guest
Rhonda I to be just one who doesn't like any sufferings especially to children's and this to caused me great sad in me to hear this if the baby and to be of worried for our friend too as she to be to still have two but the painful lost of her one is great and hard for her and she needs to be of support as she to grieve this loss. We to all form dreams about the baby as they grow in us and so it to the mother already forms as a strong bond even before to see of hold of them. I to know this was of true to me. I to be to readed to even read of books while pregnant to the unborn babies and to share in true my babies did be to move much more when I to be to readed to them before born than any other times. Of course with my voice tones they maybe to have been saying please stop you words are of hurting me LOL. No , they to for real even after born loved our reading times.\ Sondra
