Guest guest
Hi Diane, You might be able to eliminate the fat by spraying a cookie sheet with cooking spray and baking the cauliflower. I know I used to make " grilled cheese sandwiches " by placing a slice of cheese on one slice of bread and placing it alongside another slice of bread on a prepared cookie sheet and baking for 15 minutes. I think the temperature was 350. The bread came out toasted and the cheese melted. Then just cover the open face sandwich with its neighboring slice and no butter/margarine used. I also used that method for making oven fried potatoes. Thanks, Walt Re: Creative Ideas With Eggs Occasionally I make Cauliflower with an egg batter that is absolutely delicious. 1 cup blanched cauliflower 1 egg 2 Tablespoons water 3 Tablespoons olive oil Cut cauliflower into florets and add to boiling water. Blanch for approximately 8 minutes, until tender but not falling apart. In a separate bowl, mix one egg and 2 T water. Remove cauliflower from pan, pat dry. Gently flatten cauliflower between two sheets of paper towel. In skillet, add 3 T Olive oil and heat. Dip the florets of cauliflower into the egg mixture to coat and then add to the hot olive oil. Fry until lightly browned. Turn and brown other side. *optional..serve with fat free ranch dressing...yummy ! I do know that if you eat in moderation, this recipe has very few carbohydrates but Im sure that the fat content is on the high side. Guest guest
Give the eggs back to the chickens! Just kidding, but I have never been an egg person that much, being forced to eat breakfast now, I see more of them than I would like. Rose Combs rosecombs@...
