Guest guest
, My AM cardio is my best cardio. My body has just had 6 to 7 hours of rest and is charged for a workout. I spend about a half hour waking up first. I have a cup of tea to get some caffeine into my veins then I go to it. The Phen Free really gives me a charge of energy too. Put yourself in the mindset that you are charged with energy and raring to go. Hope this helps. ~Laury
Guest guest
Hi everyone... My body is beat. I have been up early every day doing my workouts. I was up this morning busting my butt to Crunch Fat Blaster. Nothing in my body but water. Does anyone else ever feel like they are not working hard enough in the morning? Should I maybe drink some juice before starting? I sometimes feel like I am going to kill over after moving my body non-stop for 30 minutes. aka (trying to be)Awesome Dawson (this morning)

Have you thought about a protein shake first thing in the morning? Sharon
Guest guest
I was wondering something very similar. The only time I can hit the gym is before work in the (painfully early) morning. Bill suggests that we do these morining workouts (cardio AND weights) on an empty stomach and then wait an hour afterwards to eat. But I find that I don't have the energy to lift as much as I can in the afternoons. Should I eat something beforehand??? Guest guest
Hey Sharon No, I haven't. I thought I was supposed to have my belly empty. Can anyone tell us which is the correct way? I would love to be able to have that shake before my workout. Tired of feeling like I am not giving my all because of shakiness. Thanks Sharon. aka Awesome Dawson sharon murch wrote: original article:/group/bodyforlife/?start=4307 > Dawson wrote: > > > > Hi everyone... > > > > My body is beat. Guest guest
Hi Laury Thanks for the post. I had to laugh because I guess maybe I should give myself about a half hour to wake up as well. I usually get up, stretch, put on my workout clothing and go to it. Maybe I am just sleeping through it all LOL. Take care. aka Awesome Dawson laury531-@... wrote: original article:/group/bodyforlife/?start=4311 > , > My AM cardio is my best cardio. I can't say which is the " correct " way ... what I read in BFL is that doing is on an empty stomach increases fat burning, so I guess it depends in part on what your goal is. But there are shakes out there that are high in protein and low in both carbs and calories. I use Designed Protein and I mix it with water. It doesn't taste quite as good that way as when you mix it with milk, but it provides the protein without filling me up with a lot of other stuff. But I'm behind on my e-mail, so perhaps the answer yet awaits me! Sharon

But on the subject of when to drink your protein shakes, Bill says in Sports Supplement Review (page 64) to " try consuming a protein supplement first thing in the morning to put an immediate halt to the catabolic tailspin you go through during the latter half of the sleep cycle. " That sounds like it's got to be before your first workout! On page 63 he also says you should drink one about 45 minutes AFTER your workout. Hope this helps. And by the way, somebody said they were looking for information on supplements and questioned whether Sports Supplement Review would be a good source of unbiased information because Bill is out to sell his products. Actually, I find Sports Supplement Review to be quite unbiased. Bill may be in the business to sell products, but presumably he's trying to sell the products he believes will be most helpful. And I find he's more than fair to other brands than his. Sharon
