Guest guest
Hi -- I know all kids are different, but with , if we started her on amoxicillin or augmentin for an ear infection, we would always end up going to a cephalosporin like Ceftin or Cefzil, and more often than not would have to go even further and end up with Rocephin injections. Whenever we have started off right away on Ceftin or Cefzil, the infection has cleared totally within days. It took a long time to get that right, and what's right for might not be right for somebody else. But I heard that most ear infections are strep-pneumo bacteria, and I've also heard (anecdotally) that strep-pneumo bacteria are becoming more and more resistant to amox and related abx. Good luck -- I sure know the feeling of wondering if you're gonna be able to get a handle on the current infection... Guest guest
We went in today for a recheck because she was no better. The wheezing is actually better with a nasty cough left over. Both ears are infected now. The dr thinks the left tube is non-functioning since it is now too high up on the eardrum. We are trying zithromax until Monday. If she's still no better, we're on to shots. He's trying to get us a different consult on the ears since he never liked the ENT who put them in. We may have to go to a neighboring town to do this, but it may be worth it. I'll know more on Monday. Guest guest
My non PID child Abby started out on cefzil for her past ear infection and then went to Biaxin to clear hers up and it took 2 doses of the biaxin. We have also tried shots of rocephine and ended up with IV antibiotics for hers before too is the same way. And neither girl would complain that their ear hurt. bunneegirl@... wrote: Hi -- I know all kids are different, but with , if we started her on amoxicillin or augmentin for an ear infection, we would always end up going to a cephalosporin like Ceftin or Cefzil, and more often than not would have to go even further and end up with Rocephin injections. Guest guest
OOOHHHHH Thanks so much for the hug! I needed that. I watched for many years my mother take care of my grandmother. I was about 7 when she died. Grandma was always trying to find the potatos so she could cook for 's army. I don't remember her except when she was sick but even that was a fond memory. She would call me and my sisters devils.....but if my mother heard her she would change it to dwangels!!! My mother was a wonderful daughter and I hope I can be 1/2 as good as she was. (PS the reason we were devils is because we came there after school and we would eat all the bread in a mayonaise and bread sandwich)!! -----Original Message-----From: TakingLipitorAndHateIt [mailto:TakingLipitorAndHateIt ]On Behalf Of macnucator1@...Sent: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 1:19 PMTo: TakingLipitorAndHateIt Subject: for Hi , I have read your e/m's on your mom.
