We can't go to the grocery store without her having to go at least once, often two or three times. It makes going anywhere with her very challenging - you always have to know where the bathroom is located! Then there are the gastro problems. She is sick to her stomach often - especially after she eats. She is either constipated or she has diarrhea. There does not seem to be such a thing as a normal bowel movement for her. If you have any ideas, >> Have you seen a peds gastroenterologist? Ours is Dr. at LCPH at Stanford. HE just published an article where is listed as a case study. If you send me your snail mail addy I ll send you a copy. Working with the gastoenterologist we were able to help with his accidents both bm and bladder. We still have them but we have come a long way. Id highly reccommend seeing a PEDS gastro and urologist. One of the things they sent us to do was biofeedback and it really helped:)!! le
Guest guest
Are you using Peg-Intron or Pegasys? I was told recently that with Pegasys the sides don't hit most people until about the 2nd month, but with Peg-Intron the sides hit you right away. I started my Tx about a little over 2 weeks ago, and so far things haven't been too bad. My pain problem is not being able to sleep through the night. As a result I have extreme fatigue, and really have to push myself to get through the work day. Comments from anyone else re how soon their sides kicked in, Pegasys vs. Peg-Intron? Guest guest
I'm using Peg interferon alpha 2a + Copegus tabs. I also had trouble sleeping. My doctor prescribed Trazodone and Ambien as sleep aids. Re: (unknown) Are you using Peg-Intron or Pegasys?
