Guest guest
Did you like it? Cheers, Today I did Kathy Lift Weights to Lose Weight, the first one. I did both the upper and lower body sections. I wanted to do abs but am out of time. I will try to do after work so I can scratch this one off my list. I'm off to shower now. Have a great day everyone. in CA

Guest guest
A time honored classic, ! Did you do the pikes on the ball at the end? Those are always a killer. Hi all, I can' t write much now. I did Cathe's kick punch & crunch, all of it, and it was really long, I am way late now. Have a great day everyone. in CA
Guest guest
I had wanted to write more about this in the morning but didn't have time. I did not do the pikes, I rarely use my stability ball and I am a big chicken butt, I tried to do them, but then I pictured myself going head over heels onto the floor and just stuck with the pull your knees in version. I did the abs on the ball and felt good about that and I did everything else. I noticed they were wearing weighted gloves in this (at least I think they were) but on the equipment list it didn't mention them and Cathe did not say anything about it either and by the time I noticed, I didn't have time to go dig mine out so I didn't use them. I always lay my equipment out the night before for whatever workout I'm going to do, which is another reason I usually preview, so that I will know what is needed, but I didn't on this one. I liked this workout a lot and am happy to have gotten another virgen done. in CA To: exercisevideos From: pinkpussycat@...Date: Tue, 3 May 2011 15:05:18 -0700Subject: Re: 's Tuesday workout A time honored classic, ! Guest guest
Good evening all. I did my workout this morning but as usual did not have time to post it. Today I did Cathe's muscle endurance. I didn't know how I was going to do on this one as I was still sore this morning when I woke up but I decided to push through anyways. I actually liked this workout. It was much easier than the muscle max that I did the other day. There sure was a hecka lotta leg presses on the high step though. I used a 10 lb plate for the leg presses. Today I only used 30 pounds for the barbell squats instead of 40 like I did the other day, I was trying to not overdo it today. Cathe used 2-8 lb dumbells for the one armed rows, I used a 15 lb kettlebell as I find it easier to hold than the two dumbbells in one hand, my hands are too small for that and I find it awkward. Since I already had 30 lbs on the barbell I just contined to use that for the deadlifts, the dead rows and the clean & press. I lowered it to 20 for the barbell bicep curls, once again it was just too heavy for me to complete it. Next time I get out of town to a real store I am going to buy me some smaller barbell plates. For the barbell lunges I used 20 lbs as that is what I already had on there and it seemed like a good weight to me. For the dumbell peck flys I used 7 lbs. it seemed like a good weight. The killer tricep section included push ups, tricep dips on the high step, lots of them, tricep kickbacks I used 5 lbs for those, and overhead presses with a weight plate, I used a 10 lb dumbell as it was easier to hold onto. I hate a little problem with those glute raises, I had never seen them before and I have it a good try, but I was having major balance issues and kept tipping over so I just gave up on those after awhile. I used 5 lbs for the standing shoulder rotations and the shoulder presses and the rear delt raises and the side lateral raises. I was really getting short on time and I really needed to get the stretch in today so I only did part of the abs work and then skipped to the stretch. I had been in a lot of pain still when I started this workout, but the weird thing is that the pain actually lessened by the time i was done, maybe the stretch was really good on this one or something but it seemed to help a lot. I am so happy to have another workout crossed off of my virgin list. I got to an all time low weight this morning of 143, but then they threw me a birthday potluck at work so I don't even want to know what my weight is now, I am just going to be real good and check it again next tuesday's weigh in day. Tomorrow I am scheduled for a 60 minute ride on the exercise bike, my poor tired arms will be so happy, my butt probably not so much. Have a great night everyone. in CA
