I've been feeling bad too--have too much pain, stiffness and swelling, am grumpy and weepy. We've had about 4 days in a row of dreary, drizzley days, which isn't helping. Wish I could go sit in the sun like Louisiana . I sent up a prayer for your return to good health, as far as you can get there. Guest guest
My clutter is spread throughout my house, fills a mobile home and 2 outbuildings that are here on our property, and finally ends in a rented storage unit 10 miles from our house. It's all my things, all my furniture plus the things that I packed up and brought with me when we married 4 years ago. Our plan at the time was to build an addition onto the house--a master suite and another room beneath it. Now, though, my husband says he doesn't want to spend the money, so it's not going to happen (long story, that). Which leaves me in these deplorable living conditions, wondering what to do next. It goes way beyond clutter and it depresses me every day of my life. My psychiatrist says to pick up one thing every day and "put it away," which only indicates that she has completely missed the point, which is that there is no place to put any of it except where it is. Well, sorry for the short rant. The whole thing has me in great turmoil. I am told that I make my own happiness, which is undoubtedly true. But I challenge anyone to live in these same conditions and still be happy. I am not a hoarder. In fact, before we were married, when I lived in my little house in Durham, my home was clean and organized, comfortable and inviting. Now I am embarrassed even when the UPS guy delivers a package. I search daily for an answer; so far none has come to mind. Oh gee, more rant. Sorry. I'm in a depressed and negative mood today, I guess. Although I'm seeing some signs of sun outside. And I don't have to cook tomorrow because my husband's dear cousin Joyce is doing it all. I will bring her a gift from my recent trip to the North Carolina potters. Thank you, , for your cheerful posts. You lift me up. Pam new member Ok...I am a new member...I joined just before all the posts about "stuff" started flying....
