I believe that her son's immunologist prescribed guaifen--(the main ingredient in robitussin). I think this helps dry up some of the extra fluids resulting in fewer infections. You might ask about it--I think that it helped some. Sincerely,
Guest guest
: I was wondering about your comment. Does guaifen dry up fluids all over the place? Meaning, could it dry up fluid behind the eardrum before it gets a chance to become infected? Because I would think that would help a LOT of the pumpkins... I know ALWAYS gets an ear infection while teething and with every head cold. If there was something I could give (besides abx) right at the start, who knows what we could prevent!!! Thanks (mom to , age 2, antibody def, IgA, IgM, IgG & subclass def - not on IGIV yet)
Guest guest
, The guaifen has never worked for Autumn. She was prescribed Panmist-S which contains pseudoephedrine & guaifen & no luck. Thanks for the info, though.
