Guest guest
My shoulder and mid back are SORE today! So I started the day with some yoga. I haven't done much traditional yoga in a long awhile so I went with a short practice, only 30 minutes. I did Baron Baptiste's Unlocking Athletic Power; Baron is a very down to Earth and thorough instructor. He encourages to challenge the body but do not push to hard. He also points out that everybody is different in the large class he is leading, so no two people are going to look the same when doing a pose. If I remember correctly there were some doing modifications. For my run today I did 4 miles clocking in at 11 and half minutes per mile. My pace was very consistent and I did not stop often and if I did (for water) it was not for long. I think this was part of the better speed I got today. Finished with some foam rolling to try to work out the soreness in the back and massage the legs, especially outer thigh IT band. I felt a little in the shin when rolling them out, but they have not been bothering me at. Even with slight DOMS, I have not been sore from these runs to the point that it effects any part of my training. If only I can get rid of this tightness in the back.
