Guest guest
The ad looks great ... but the product is so inexpensive, I have to wonder how good the quality could be. Like they say, you get what you pay for. Looks like a hybrid of the Bullworker and the X5 — has straps, but no plastic casing on the metal tube like the X5.I clicked Customer Service on their site to see if I could find out who's selling these, and the company is Ontel Products Corporation in Fairfield NJ. Never heard of them. Evidently they sell other products too, because it says under their contact information: "If you have questions about your Swivel Sweeper G2 order, please call toll-free ."I'll definitely stick with my Steel-Bow and X5, but I like their video clip ... got me all fired up for my next workout! To: bullworkerclub Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 10:09:12 AMSubject: Re: Iso 7X > > Just saw this commercial on the NFL Network- > > http://www.iso7x. com/Default. asp?bhcp= 1 >this is the kind of add bullworker should have put on tv years ago .....i'lll stick with my steelbow 28 and steelbow
Guest guest
You don't always get what you pay for. Sometimes people jack the price up and rip you off. Doing some checking on the net that iso arm bonus sells for $30. Getting both items for just $30 is a pretty good deal. Guest guest
Thats the same company selling The Iron Gym (which means it WILL be in stores eventually). But be careful, the company has a spot in New Jersey (where I reside). The product most likely ships out of the parent office (Cali?), yet if you reside in New Jersey, you are paying the sales tax as well as s & H. Do yourself a favor - wait until it hits the stores. Ok, you'll pay the sales tax, but NO shipping and handling. Was going to order Iron Gym, but with s & h, tax - price was nearly DOUBLE. A parting thought, the unit HAS to be made in China - if Iron Gym is, so will this.Subject: Re: Re: Iso 7XTo: bullworkerclub Date: Monday, August 10, 2009, 1:58 PM  The ad looks great ... but the product is so inexpensive, I have to wonder how good the quality could be. However whilst I am cautious I have seen a number of well made products made to a good standard for the fitness market.I would therefore not dismiss it out of hand and hope that it would not be another Everlast type device that I have heard breaks if you squint at it too hard. Guest guest
Thanks for the update . What's the latest on the X5 model? Is it out of stock or is it discontinued? To: bullworkerclub Sent: Thursday, August 13, 2009 9:54:27 AMSubject: Re: Iso 7X Greetings, It is with great curiosity I view the Iso 7X, mainly because prior to going to Bullworker Enterprises of India, I was dealing with China on my design. This design is the Iso 7X in a full size length (Model “M†on the Bullworker -USA.com website). When I left China for India , I soon found my China design on the Internet advertised for any Importer to pursue. This is a common occurrence in dealing with China ; competition is fierce and ruthless. This did not cause me alarm due to the fact I had some very serious concerns about structural components that China was having difficulty in correcting. I sent the first model to Gert Kolbel for review and he also expressed his concerns pointing out several red flags in construction. Until I receive my model (I ordered one), I will reserve my comments. I would like to add that when ordering such a product, a pop-up appears that asks if you would like to order the “Higher-Quality†model for an additional $20. As I am curious what their “Higher Quality†model is, I upgraded. This is now a $70 purchase; including the Iso-Arms. As for the Iso-Arms device, this is a previous design I viewed first through Gert Kolbel many years ago and has been offered through different outlets. This device appears to be very inexpensive in its construction and at a total of $7 (p/h) I would not place a lot of confidence in its durability. I may be mistaken… however there are certain fixed expenses in manufacturing of certain components that one recognizes over time. As for Chinese manufacturing, China is more than capable of producing very high quality products. It is just a matter of choosing the right manufacturer and spending the appropriate sums. I chose India because Bullworker Enterprises was already producing a Bullworker device and they spoke English, which allowed me to easily convey my designs and concerns. There is no better example of this than the product we are preparing for distribution this August, which has now been moved back to November… designs in the product that need to be corrected. Again, my Iso 7X will arrive next week and I will be more than willing to offer my “opinion.†This will be my opinion and my opinion only. As I have posted previously, the Bullworker Enterprises Super IV is a very well made product. I do not offer it. I chose not to because Bullworker Enterprises was willing to manufacture what I felt was a “higher quality†model for those who wanted a choice. It cost a little more, but I was very pleased with the results. As for made in the USA , I am old enough to remember when we exported our products to the world and made no apologies in doing so; Competition and customer choice. That line of thinking has now come full circle. The market determines where we secure our manufacturing. In 1998, I pursued manufacturing the Bullworker in the USA and the costs would have resulted in a $150 item, unless sold in the millions (it has not happened again). I imported the X-5 from the UK and then switched to Japan because they were making a better product, though it cost more. Quality was always at the forefront. India now makes what I feel is the perfect compromise of price and quality in the traditional steel-cable design. To date, the highest quality Boworker model I have ever used was a Bullworker 3 from Germany , Model E on the BW-USA website. It was this model that resulted in the Bow Classic. Respectfully, Boworker
Guest guest
I ordered the Iso 7x as well, out of curiosity. When my wife sees another " Bullworker " in the house poop just might hit the fan. I did not up grade, but thought seriously about it. I will also give a report on the " lesser " version of the Iso 7x. Jon > > Thanks for the update . What's the latest on the X5 model? Guest guest
Hi Not sure what problems fbiram had with the Steel Bow model they got. I acquired the Steel Bow last year and am very happy with it. It works very well and is perfectly well constructed. As far as I am concerned, has created a really great product. It is small enough to allows me to continue to train even during my business trips and the changeable springs is a great idea. Incidentally I also have a classic Bullworker made by Bullworker Germany back in the 70s which I still use and still works perfectly. Guest guest
Sorry you had issues, but I don't see why you are so offended that some of us think the product is good. If I use your twisted logic that we must be sucking up to Mr because we like the Steel Bow, I can only presume you are saying the Steel Bow is bad because you are sucking up to his competition. Bottom line we all have our own opinions - some think it is crap - others like it - and there does not have to be any hidden meaning behind the opinions! To: bullworkerclub Sent: Monday, August 17, 2009 5:30:30 PMSubject: Re: Re: Iso 7X Like I said my steel bow was a piece of crap. If you are interested in what the problems were you can read my post on the official Bullworker web site. To my surprise Mr who is never at a loss for words didn't even bother to reply nor did any of his staff. With all the superlatives posted I can only surmise that a lot of people are simply sucking up to Mr for some personal gain. Let me finalize by say that my first Bullworker was bought in 1968 and still in excellent condition. There is no way that the steel bow would last as long. Now why don't some of you make me laugh and give me an outcry with a tirade of emails. Guest guest
I can throw a little light on this: not " baited " breath, but " bated " breath - similar to " abated " - means a restricted breath, indicating a degree of tension, anxiety or excitement - which, given the suspense of the situation, is very appropriate. One of the reasons I have always got rid of the X5s was that they seem very plasticky compared to the more solid green handled version. The handles I believe it is hard to argue are not any advance on the earlier model and something of a less than comfortable and non hand conforming mistake. I think that it is not without significance that present Bullworkers are hybrids ironing out the problems of the 80s design and yet building on its strengths and those of the earlier model. I have no intention of adding to my very small collection anything ,but a few second hand X5s for any other reason that historical interest. However i use my vintage Bullworker still with great pleasure and my other is certainly neglected. When I do buy a modern Bullworker I am pretty sure now that are pieces of equipment that have got back to the Bullworkers original value and inspiration. > > > > > With Windows Live, you can organize, edit, and share your photos. Guest guest
Not sure about the quality since you were spot on on about the lack of delivery. Someone said it has been two months, and he is absolutley correct. That is rediculous, but now it seems they won't answer e-mails. Will call on Monday. > > > > > > > > > From: trompajo <ro3nn@> > > > Subject: Re: Re: Iso 7X > > > To: bullworkerclub@ yahoogroups. com > > > Date: Monday, August 10, 2009, 1:58 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > The ad looks great ... but the product is so inexpensive, I have to wonder how good the quality could be. Never heard of them. Evidently they sell other products too, because it says under their contact information: " If you have questions about your Swivel Sweeper G2 order, please call toll-free .
