Oh , it looks so beautiful there. What a great thing to do for earth day. Did you find anything good at Trader Joes, that is one of my favorite stores. I am glad you had a good day. My yard looks beautiful right now, lots of pretty flowers coming up and some veggies starting to grow, I can't take credit though, my husband does the yard, I just get to decide what he plants. Have a great night.

, it *is* pretty here :)  it rains ALL the time except for summer and we may complain sometimes but that's why it's so green and pretty too!  However, we don't have the palm trees and citrus trees do that you have either...

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite stores :) I mostly bought wine (TJ's has the best quality wine at the best prices, I've found) some heirloom tomatoes, organic whole wheat/corn tortillas, and an imported from Italy Margherita pizza.  Yes, I'm PMS-ing...

Any bike rides planned for you and your Granddaughter this weekendBunnies and chickies,

Today's workout will see me sore in different places. It's Earth Day, and through work I got to volunteer to pull invasive English ivy from hillsides in Forest Park. It was a beautiful morning, and even a bad day volunteering is better than a good day sitting at a desk in an office. My employer is really cool in that we sponsor a lot of community service events and can opt to volunteer during work and get paid for it.

Ripping ivy I found was akin to doing single arm rows with resistance bands. Some of the roots on these suckers went clear to China, I swear! I threw a lot of piles into a heap, and then lopped up the mass of ivy in the heaps to help it decompose faster, and that is where the forearm work took place. I never intentionally work my forearms unless it's in a workout video, and I've only seen that worked in Jari Love's Get Ripped and and one of Cathe's workouts. I figure, when my butt and gut have diminished, then I will focus more on the extras such as calves and forearms.

I'm a city kid without a car and it was nice to be out in Nature where the air is cleaner and smells of wood and wet moss, and just being with others who also give a damn about things.

I hit Trader Joe's on the way home, took a bath and crashed for a few hours, which felt really good.

Tomorrow I need to work in my own small yard, as with Spring comes WEEDS. Once I get started I can't stop. It's such rewarding work! I hope to get some yoga in afterward to realign and center. Sunday is Easter and by then my legs will hopefully allow me to run again (they are still sore from Tuesday's Leg Day with the Trainer) and then I get to go to two Easter parties after that. I will try and be good-ish, but I can't make any promises!

Happy Earth Day, Everyone!
