Guest guest
Clarence, Where does the serial cable plug into the voicemate? do you plug into where the code key usually goes, and if so, do you use the socket on the speech unit, or do you have to remove the accucheck meter from the speech unit in order to use the serial cable? Guest guest
Rick, you disconnect the advantage meter and use only it. It is in the off position though. There is a cable that plugs in where the chip would go, then an interface box with a serial cable connected to it. The cable comes with the software and has the chip type connector on it. Guest guest
That sounds real good, Clarence. How much was the software? Accuchek software and speech A week or so ago I asked about how speech friendly the computer software was for the Accuchek. I have since received it and tried it. It works really well with Window-Eyes. The buttons on the options screen must be reclassed to buttons, but other than that it works really great. You can even read the results once the meter has been uploaded to the computer. The report that is generated is quite usable. It does offer a one page summary which is pretty useless for us. It shows a graph which of course does not read. I was able to upload the meter, print out the report and fax to my doctor. Could not email the report because it saves in cef or cpf format which nothing seems to be able to open except that particular software. In general though, I would say the software is quite usable and very nice to have rather than having to write down the logue. Guest guest
It was $59.00 which included the software and interface cable. Is working really well and will even calculate the average BG for you. At 06:42 PM 12/19/2001 -0800, you wrote: >That sounds real good, Clarence.
