Guest guest
No boredom Kathi! I'm enjoying reading your adventures with your in-laws. Your MIL sounds so cute. I'm glad she is doing so well at 84. My In-laws spent the weekend here. My MIL is also 84. She is also very spunky but my FIL has diabetes and he is very frail due to diabetic neuropathy of his feet. They wanted to go in the boat that my husband built. It took him 7 years to build this boat and it is finally in the water. So the family got together and we got them in that boat! They absolutely loved it. A few years ago (still in their 80's) They wanted to go on my BIL's jet ski. They couldn't get on it, so the marina put both of them on it while it was on land and they fork lifted the jet ski with my in laws ON IT down into the water. Everyone was clapping. There isn't much they haven't done and it is great to see them doing these things. While they were here they slept in our bed since the extra bedroom is upstairs. I have memory foam topper on my bed and both of them raved over it. My FIL didn't wake up with his normal backache and my MIL didn't need her hot water bottle. She has had 2 knee replacements and needs her hips done. These memory foam toppers are wonderful for arthritics and I highly recommend them if it can be fit in the budget. a > Iris....My MIL is an amazing 84 year old, I hope I > have her spunk at that age.....she is a ticket...we > had a good laugh at the way the tornado story changed > by the time she got back to the big apple, seems she > not only first hand witnessed a tornado but wasnt > scared at all, cant wait to hear the tall tales this > time round although it could only be she lived in a > place hotter than HE double hockey stick.....I think > she has most of little Italy believing we still have > cowboys and Indians riding the range and live in log > cabins....We tease her every time, because she asks > what clothes to bring and Rags tells her not to worry > we still have the river and some really great rocks , > so washing her clothes wont be a problem. Guest guest
a, Your in-laws sound like a real kick. I was laughing as I tried to imagine the fork lift placing them on the water. I would be totally embarrassed but good to see that there are good natured people who will do anything to try something else. I have always wondered about those foam toppers. Right now I sleep fine but will keep that in mind for future use. Terri [ ] Kathi > No boredom Kathi! I'm enjoying reading your adventures with your in-laws. > Your MIL sounds so cute. Guest guest
We just ordered a memory foam mattress yesterday. It's on a bed that has a vibrator and lifts the legs and head area. We ordered it from Mattress Giant. Cost a lot but I think it will be worth it. I'm so glad you mentioned this! Makes me feel better about spending that much money. Becky [ ] Kathi No boredom Kathi!
