X-5 Gold

Greetings,

I have received communication from Japan regarding the X-5 Gold.

After 25 years of continuous production, the "gold-plating" machine has malfunctioned and they are not sure whether they will repair it.

I inquired whether they would go back to a Black X-5 and they replied "negative."

For those of you who have an X-5 Gold, hang on to them... I thought they were the best X-5 model made.

**********

In other matters, I have spoken to Ontel regarding the Iso7x and they are indeed back ordered and apologize for the inconvenience.

Sounds pretty boiler plate to me, but I too have been back ordered and there is nothing one can do about it.

As several of us are waiting for the product, we should have an excellent cross section of opinions.

Respectfully,

I am trying to secure the last remnants of Japan and it does not look good.

I personally do not have as many as I wanted to end up with.

Why not bring jobs back to the USA and you can make the same thing even 100x better.

The japanese government needs to focus on delevoping their own jobs for their people. The japanese can't depend the USA for jobs.

It will never happen (bringing jobs back to USA). Why? Because company executives care more about getting a new set of golf clubs having their products made overseas (which in my opinion will ALWAYS be substandard in quality to an American made product), than giving an American a job. Its that simple.

If it was made in the USA it would double, perhaps even triple the selling price.

These things are made overseas for a couple of bucks a piece.

That's not true at all.

The consumer is not willing to pay the price for an American made product.

Companies are in business to make money- you can't expect them to sell at a loss.

in Mexico and assembled in Carlsbad, CA.

If I was the POTUS then the first order of business would be getting all American made jobs called back home within 30 days. Another countries are responsible for delevoping their own job corps etc. If the CEO and the bigwigs refuse then they go to prison, the company becomes property of Uncle Sam.Subject: Re: X-5 GoldTo: bullworkerclub Date: Tuesday, September 1, 2009, 9:57 AM

Yes I believe in freedom but where is the tax base for America ? Where are the jobs ? etc. it all adds up so I would say bring all the American jobs that are overseas back to the USA. If these politicans can investigate Enron and another corporations like GM etc. Why can't they bring all the jobs back to the USA within 30 days ? I think what they are doing is band-aiding the situation but not getting to the core of the problem.

Competition, regardless where it comes from forces each company into producing a better product otherwise it would become extinct. Look what has happened to the quality of American cars. I've bought 3 Fords since the mid-eighties, retired 1 and still own 2.As for shoddy workmanship, you only read or hear about the highly publicize and I am fairly certain that they represent a miniscule fracture of the enormous quantity of products imported. Otherwise, you won't be hearing about the rants that we are have a trading deficit from the protectionist faction.Having said that, I as a consumer would boycott any shoddy products and/or dangerous products such as stainless steel, baby powder, and dog food from any offending companies or countries. I hope our government has placed sanctions and penalties to the offending

companies and countries.Consumers must be forever vigilant to ensure that we get the best value for our consumer dollars that is SAFE. Caveat Emptor!!!From: Whammer <whammerexeculink (DOT) com>Subject: Re: X-5 GoldTo: bullworkerclub@ yahoogroups. comDate: Monday, August 31, 2009, 4:09 PM

I pointed out in a previous email regarding the ISO7X.....I don't think they really have this product manufactured yet.

They use the money brought in from the first sales of the Iso7x to pay for the manufacturing of the product.

It sucks for the buyer but is smart business for the 7x folks as they don't have to risk their own money up front.

Oh come on. This is much more interesting than the same old Bullworker stuff going round and round. People are getting passionate about something. Whether most of it is misplaced, parochial nonsense born out of ignorance is another matter but it can sometimes make it all the more alluring.

Let's be honest. How can the US build the finest planes (now that it has leveraged the knowledge from other countries such as Great Britain and Germany) but build such second rate, antiquated cars? It is to do with the age of the industry and its ability to be competitive without the legacy ties that prevent agility and innovation. It is not just America, but many advanced Western countries that suffer from the same problem, however protectionism just does not work, and often those countries which have the least protectionism come out on top through natural selection.

Food for thought!

Japanese manufacturing is substandard to US? That is the first I've heard of it.

The Japanese used Deming's TQM methods (that we taught them) while American

corps have always resisted that. Don't confuse capitalism with nationalism, or a

fitness forum for a political one. BTW I love my Toyota, my Honda and my

steelbow!

Hi ,I hope you will be able to find another manufacturer for the Gold X5 if the present Japanese factory refuses to continue manufacturing it. Its such a good product. I am sure there are other competent factories somewhere in the world.I understand that the Germans make their own Gold X5s. Maybe you could look into that. It may be more costly but a sturdy and reliable product is never cheap.
