Hey guys,

Just tonight I watched the indie movie rented from Blockbuster

called " SuperSize Me. " The director of the movie went on a

Mc's-only diet for 30 days just to see what would happen.

Surprising results! I am not going to say anything more now. Just

get it by hook and crook and give it a good gander. There is some

reference to how/why food is so cheap, so processed (think: $$$ for

greedy corporations) which somewhat relates to raw dairy, but

tenuously.

Even DH got caught up in the story and he told me afterwards that

he resolves to not eat much junk food now and to eat healthier!

Yea! He's the one who takes the kids out for fast food- I hardly

ever do that. My 7 y.o. son watched much of the movie, luckily he

were distracted when the " adult " points of the movie came up, but he

also learned a lot more than he bargained for, I'll bet! Tomorrow we

will have to have a good discussion about what we learned from the

movie (he had to go to bed right after the movie ended as it was past

his bedtime).

Don't think you'll be sorry to watch the movie! It is educational

and everything the director goes through is 100% real. That movie is

a real eye-opener! Heh, first microwaves, now Mcs' - things to

be avoided at all costs! ;-)

My wife, daughter and I saw the Super Size Me movie. It sure was a belly full. Highly recommended. Another one not to be missed is "The Future of Food." It's a mind blower too. It wraps up with a hardy salute for organic, local and community supported agriculture.

Giving up the microwave was a fairly easy thing to do in our house.

I really don't even miss it. However, just exactly what *do* you do

when you get a Big Mac Attack? ;o)

who very, very rarely eats fast food anymore, but 28 years ago when

pregnant with my first baby could consume 2 big macs at a time!
