Guest guest
Mine went away when I started killing Lyme and co. JoyceFrom: <vegasmomof3@ cox.net>Subject: migrainesTo: Lyme_and_Rife@ yahoogroups. comDate: Saturday, August 29, 2009, 12:33 AM So, I’ve been doing the migraine protocol thing from JimJax with the L-Tryptophan, and B’s for about 3 months now. It is not helping so far. Is that because mine are hormonal? I do get them other than with TOM, but ALWAYS with TOM. It is very rare that I don’t have one then. I also get them at ovulation about ¾ of the time and only rarely other than that. I’ve tried progesterone and the like with no relief. I feel I have my other hormones pretty well striaght – just some tweaking needs to be done. The only things I have taken that help are my Zomig (or Imitrex) or Excedrine Migraine. Either way though, after the migraine is gone, I feel wonky for about a day. Don’t know if it’s the med or the migraine that does that. Anyway… haven’t been online much coz I’ve been so busy! School and baseball and 3 kids keeps me on my toes. I’ve felt really pretty good for the last few weeks, until today and this darn migraine! Any thoughts are appreciated…
Guest guest
I believe the bugs are the core of the problem that mess up the pituitary and hence your hormones. For the time being, autonomic dysfunction can be helped by drinking sea salt water and increasing your water intake overall.Dr T explains here:http://www.endfatigue.com/health_articles_c/Cfs_fm-treating_low_blood_volume_and_heart.htmlkat--- Subject: RE: migrainesTo: Lyme_and_Rife Date: Saturday, August 29, 2009, 2:47 PM Very interesting articles you ‘guys’ sent to me. So, further questions/comments… Katerina – How do you fix the dysfunction? ‘I know kill the bugs’ if that is the underlying issue. Does he suggest any therapies? Joyce – I’ve been doing salt/c for almost a year, so I’ve started the killing process with no change in migraines. Only started the large doses about 4-5 months ago. My hormones are pretty stable and good at this point as far as I can tell. I feel pretty good. I’ve been thinking because of the change in hormones with TOM, that the bugs get active. I usually feel terrible with the moon cycle, often times getting a migraine then as well. But how does Excedrine Migraine (or Zomig) stop that? I took my Excedrine last night and the headache was gone in an hour. As far as ’s article, I take 600mg magnesium a day and have for a few months. I get several of the auras it listed – severe craving for food/sweets, dizziness, irritablility, thirst. I had heard of prolotherapy, but didn’t really know what it was. I do get the neck pain as an aura so this could certainly be an option for me. I’ve suspected a low progesterone issue, and have take progesterone with no change in anything. Lot’s to consider. Lyme/co’s could cause any and all of the issues brought up, so I’m glad I’m doing something about that. Working on the hormones – got most of them straight now, so just doing some tweaking at this point. Ugh.. So until I fix the underlying issue (whatever that may be for me) is there some better way of treating it? I hate to take the meds (Excedrine/Zomig) , but the L-Tryptophan protocol isn’t working for me. I can up my magnesium to see if that helps. I do usually have a BIG craving for chocolate when I get an aura (lots of magnesium in chocolate), so that could certainly be a big issue for me. Any other natural migraine treatments? Thanks so much for all your comments/suggestion s. I will be experimenting with what I can! Guest guest
I drink about a gallon of prilled water every day – for real I drink at least a gallon. Plus I take about 1 ½ tsp salt mixed into water every day, which is about 15g. Been doing those things for several months. No change in the severity or frequency of the migraines. When I first started taking that much salt, the migraines got worse – may have been some other factor. Now they are back to ‘normal’ for me. I have been taking hormone replacement for adrenals and thyroid for about a year now. I feel really good. Things aren’t perfect, but I can function pretty well now! At this point, I’m just trying to tweak my doses to get the perfect dose for me – and that can change from day to day I know! The biggest issue I have at this point is the migraines. The other issues I have are minor and not debilitating! As I said, I have suspected an issue with progesterone, but haven’t found relief when I’ve taken it. I think Dr. T’s ‘SHINE’ protocol is fantastic! It really takes everything into consideration and treats it all! I love that. I keep finding that taking that type of approach gets the best results. Dr. Christ, Dr. Mark Hyman and now Dr. T all take this type of approach. I really think it’s the best way. I’m doing as much of that as I can, so I’m on my way. Just haven’t figured out the migraine part!
