Guest guest
Hi Doris, I noted that your mom is taking Wellbutrin for depression. Just wanted to comment that for some people Wellbutrin makes them a bit anxious and/or agitated - this med targets a different neurotransmitter in the brain than the other newer SSRI. I tried this med a while ago after years of taking Celexa and come off it in a hurry because it made my anxiety worse and I had a hard time sleeping. I hope it works for your mom. Guest guest
Doris - I agree with Courage. When my Dad was given Wellbutrin he changed right away for the worse. Then we had a hard time getting him off the drug, because the doctor felt he needed it and the rehab center where he was had to follow doctor's orders. When we got him off Wellbutrin he calmed down right away. There was an interesting story on the local news tonight. A couple in their 80's moved to be close to their daughters and the husband became depressed. The doctor put him on an anti-depressant and three days later he attacked his wife with a knife. The family feels very strongly that it was the drug, but the poor man is in jail on attempted murder and his wife can't even visit because the court filed a restraining order. The name of the drug? Wellbutrin. It just goes to show that you must be very careful with all drugs. God bless you, in WA Hi Doris, I noted that your mom is taking Wellbutrin for depression.
