Guest guest
Hi Have you carried out a stool test to confirm yeast? Have you got good adrenal support in for your child? Is he moving his bowels regulary? What other test have you completed lately? x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: m.collins9@...Date: Fri, 19 Aug 2011 08:46:06 +0000Subject: Re: Safety and effectiveness of Cutler protocol Hello , I believe this is your first post? I wondered why you have decided that your child's regression was caused by the AC protocol. Your child does sound quite ill and I wondered whether you have tried to find out why, as there could be a large number of reasons for this and it can be far from easy doing the detective work. I am no expert in the AC protocol and I have no experience of chelation, by the way. My experience with supplments and diet is that I have personally found it (nearly always) virtually impossible to know when a change (whether a good development, such as language, or an undesirable one, such as stimming and self-injurious behaviour)is due to biomed or simply to either natural development or caused by frustration, boredom etc. This is the reason I am asking by what means you have established that the cause of your child's deterioration is yeast - it is very hard to kow what is causing what. If you think it is the AC protocol have you stopped chelation? I know my post may seem a bit abrupt but, like many people here, I am a worn out mum and I try to keep things short. I hope you get some helpful replies here.Best wishes, Margaret>> Dear All, > > We started Andy Cutler protocol two years ago. Guest guest
We did NutrEval test with Genova labs. It showed his amino acids, organic acids, vitamins and minerals status. There were some recomendations on necessary supplementation. By the time that we performed the test, we had already all supps on board, so it was double check for us, to make sure we don't give him something that he doesn't need. This test confirmed yeast and bacteria, also, and we supplemented accordingly. Yes, I am very much sure that it's all yeast. He has regular BM, although at times, sheep-like. He eats a lot, always hungry. With adrenals, it was tricky. When we tried licorice, his eyes swallowed due to too much water kept in the body, I beleive. I stopped licorice. AndrenErgizer increased his hypoglicemia attacks and stopped it after some trials also. His daily salvia cortisol test showed malfunctioning of adrenals and recomended high B5 doses which we do. With high doses of antifungals we balance on the side where we can tolerate it. But overall, it's a regression. The main reason for me to think it's all yeast is that any attempt to decrease anti, is followed by dicline in behavior. It is not that I am tried. I am just worried that I bring my son to nowhere by provocking his gut and brain yeast. Guest guest
Sara, When doing Valtrex, do you experience lot of yeast? Why you decided to switch therapies? Does your son have antibodies to herp virus? And, do you protect his kidneys in some ways, I read that using Valtrex for kids, we need to keep track of their kidney functioning. To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Friday, August 19, 2011 12:38 PMSubject: Re: Safety and effectiveness of Cutler protocol My son didn't do well on AC protocol either. He is now doing well on Valtrex - our best wow for many years. I am wondering if our kids fall into 2 categories: those that are primarily heavy metal toxic and those who are primarily affected by viruses/compromised immune system. Guest guest
Hi Natasa, yes, based on his tests, his serotonin was abnormal. As our DAN briefly explained me, serotonin - is a happiness hormone. His body is under great stress because of toxic overload, that's why it makes and wastes serotonin to defend itself. She said, that he needs to get rid of toxins (both protein and metals). After that she suggested a course of antifungals, antibacterials, and chelation. We sticked with safe way - treat fungi and bacteria with herbs permanently, and chelate according to AC protocol. Two years have passed... We are still where we where. Thanks for the link. I looked at the text, and honestly, in order to deal with this stuff, I would need a doctor. Is there any doctor who treats HPA serotonin function? Does this malfunction comes after being metal toxic, or should it be treated separately? Our DAN, looking at his results, offered chelation, but not a special therapy for serotonin levels.. To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Friday, August 19, 2011 12:47 PMSubject: Re: Safety and effectiveness of Cutler protocol Sorry to hear . IMO this sounds much more like the protocol threw his HPA (and serotonin system) way out of balance, rather then 'just' yeast. Are you with Breakspear? They now do Baseline Autonomic testing, think it costs around £200, should show if this is a problem. Alternatively read up on symptoms and behaviours etc. Btw I don't think that merely 'supporting' adrenals through supplements like licorice or bovine extracts would come anywhere near to fixing the problem with HPA/serotonin function. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothalamic%E2%80%93pituitary%E2%80%93adrenal_axis Natasa > >> > Dear All, > > > > We started Andy Cutler protocol two years ago. Guest guest
I had a chat to We talked about imo the first thing she needs to do which is a clearout protocol with oxypowder/ movicol, adding digestive enzymes like Trienza/ Biogest and probiotics like CP1 Her child has a very bloated tummy, and only weighs 27kg aged 11, plus breath smelling of bacteria. he is clearly very constipated and not extracting the nutrietns he needs from his food or gaining a normal amount of weight. So clearout is essential and repopulating the digestive tract with good bacteria and enzymes, prior to doing anything else Sorting this out will enable her child to have a better diet range, less bacteria, and significantly less behavioural issues more than likely and is a key fundemental thing to do before some of the more specialist things Best wishes > To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe > Date: Mon, 22 Aug 2011 10:01:45 +0000> Subject: Re: Safety and effectiveness of Cutler protocol> > > Folinic always caused regression here, even tiniest doses.
