Guest guest
Well, i'm a big fan of Elvis, even if he is dead. His voice was to die for and he reminded me a lot of my dad. Elvis had the biggest heart. Unlike most of the snobs who were greedy with their fortunes. He was also in the army where they tend to give lot's of vaccinations. Could he have been a victim like my son? Could the vaccinations have caused OCD or something worse and then he self medicated? Maybe. Was it the stress in combination with the vaccines and his life style? Who knows! Some people are biochemically balanced enough to pull it together. Some are not. Addiction *IS* a disease (however it started), just like cancer and should be seen as such. As pathetic as the disease can be, addicts are very sick people and should be seen as sick. How arrogant can we be, to think that all of us can or should just snap out of a disease like addiction? Especially when we have so much setting us up to fail like mercury, alumunium and all the other trash they are putting into our vaccines, our food, our water and our air. Our battles are not with Elvis, they are with this mean spirited system of things. And our *ONLY* hope is with God's system that will replace this one. Connie (Revelation 21:2-4) . . .. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to our group. >>>If this is going to be the case, why do we even have doctors. We don't! Their worthless and mere salesman for the pharmaceutical industry. Okay, so maybe their good for a broke bone or a morphine drip, but i don't know what else. Most of us had to find out the hard way that we can't trust the doc's. Some people figure it out a little faster than others. Some don't figure it out at all. The scriptures tell us to NOT put our trust in earthling man and we are *cursed* if we do, but most people (i was one of them) don't really listen or apply what the Bible says, so we suffer the consequences. If we would actually apply what the Bible says we wouldn't have near the problems we do. Like don't lie, etc. If so called Christian doctors were actually applying this can you imagine the truths that would be told in your doctors office? I could go on and make this email really entertaining, but i'm to tired. I will leave the rest up to your imagination. lol Good to have you with us. Guest guest
Thank you, Connie, for setting me straight on this issue. I've spent my whole life being in the minority regarding how I think and feel. I guess I can just add one more thing to the list that makes me an oddball. My husband told me a few weeks ago that life wasn't hard. I was so flabbergasted that I couldn't respond. It seems that one thing after another has occured in my life since then to keep reminding me that he said that. Maybe I've been cruising for a fight all day. I can't find a release for this anger that just seems to keep building. Oh well, I'm going to bed and hopefully will do some sleeping. Tomorrow's another day. Maybe it will be better. > Hi , > > Welcome to our group. > > >>>If this is going to be the > case, why do we even have doctors. > > We don't! Guest guest
Personal responsibility only goes as far as one is adequately informed. If the dr.'s are prescribing SSRIs without telling people what the many side effects and draw backs are, then you can't say that a patient can make an adequate choice and take personal responsibility. As a matter of fact, a long time ago....in a galaxy far, far away.... doctors were there to take informed responsiblilty of a patient, who was too ill or uneducated to be informed themselves. They were there to take responsibility for those who could not.

Guest guest
, You hit a very sad and true problem. The psychiatric profession is, in my opinion, basically very dangerous place to go for help. It's very hard to go against all the " professionals " and their constant push for drugs. I don't know what happened to Elvis but I do know that what happened to you is practically what happens to everyone looking for emotional help from psychiatrists. Also GP's have been sold a bill of goods to prescribe psych drugs for any old thing. More sales more money. In the end though, at least for me, when I look back on my condition there is always something I could have done differently to make it better. That's what I mean by being responsible. Also when things really suck I take responsibility and start making things right for me instead of continuing to rage at the idiot(s) that were only to happy to help me crater myself. Am I the effect of this situation or am I in control of the situation? If I'm cause over it then I'm taking responsibility. I know we all trusted the medical profession to help and got hurt instead but before they could hurt us we did trust them. I can take responsibility for my part in that. As far as doctors go, infections and stitchs are great things to take to a doctor. Emotional/spiritual stuff I would keep close to church and even then be careful since everyone wants to label and recommend drugs these days. Jim I'm really getting tired of being told it was my responsibility to see to it that I wasn't harmed by the drugs presribed to me by my doctor. Every doctor I went to wanted to give me a quick fix pill. When I objected and said I were prefer to find out what the problem was first, I was informed that this was standard procedure, that this was how they treated patients. I complained constantly about them treating symptoms instead of finding the cause. I wasn't the expert, they were. I'm not a doctor because I don't want to be a doctor. I have no interest in this area. But I have had to learn anyway because I now know I can't trust the experts. If this is going to be the case, why do we even have doctors. > The issue comes down to whether we are sheep or self responsible for what we > put in our mouths. Guest guest
Jim, I was addicted to Effexor before I even knew I was taking an antid. I didn't go to a psychiatrist looking for emotional help. I went to a GP for a physical problem. I was supposed to be being treated for a physical problem. When it made things worse, I quit taking it. Of course, withdrawal set in and that's when I was informed what I was taking. It has made me not trust them to treat me for infections and stitches. You know how they come in with those syringes full of stuff that they won't tell you what it is. They won't even tell you what your blood pressure is unless you become insistant. Now, I hate having to act like a bitch. I use to avoid it at all cost. But now, I'm quite a pro at it and have even become known for it. The workers at the prison my son is presently incarcerated in are discussing how big my b*lls are. This is what we get for taking responsibility and insisting others do so also. I'm not the problem but I do intend to be the thorn to those who are. > > The issue comes down to whether we are sheep or self responsible > for what we > > put in our mouths. Guest guest
I am glad your out there I'm sorry you got off-labeled, that is the worst. I have heard two seperate stories of older men getting off-labeled for pain and committing suicide within days. Both were Paxil.
