Guest guest
I am very lucky. Not because Medicare authorized a chair either. They turned me down 3 times for the very same reason you've been turned down. I got the chair privately, through an ad on Craig's List. A woman was giving the chair away, probably had a zillion responses, but somehow I got it Had a big disappointment yesterday on that too. The chair is fine but needs new batteries. The ones that came with it don't hold a charge. (The woman I got it from was up front with that) I went yesterday with a friend to see about getting new batteries only to find that the ones I need are far too expensive for me to afford, at least from the local mobility shop. So I'm kinda back to square one. I'm going to check around to see if I can get a better deal somewhere. If not It's going to take me several months to save up enough to buy them. Jana Re:intro Jana, Consider yourself lucky. I've been trying to get an electric scooter for 4 years now, and Medicaid has turned me down every time., Because they say it has to be the only way to get around in the house. Well, my house is way too small for a scooter or wheelchair.
