Guest guest
Hi - It is so nice seeing a post from you here in the group. For not writing personally, no blaming necessary...to see others have been in contact and/or that you know others have kept you in their thoughts is enough for me. Great seeing you here!! Hugs from the U.S...where it is FREEZING here in Iowa, with snow- Sandie and -- Where have you been! Hi folks, here in sunny England. For those " new " folks, Hi! Welcome! For those who remember me Hi! How are you! I'm sorry I haven't been around. I'll explain. A little while after I started thinking about the LBDAUK (we were planning an English charity) I finally gave up the struggle to keep sane and started eating antidepressents like sweeties. Oh man they work. I chilled out so much that I could put dads illness to one side. So I've been living my life for a while. Mum, who has MS, is still alive. Totally paralised now. Not much of a life for her. Dad, the one with LBD, is just about still living at home with a lot of carers. This is going to have to change now though. He really needs 24 hour care. Actually he is in hospital at the moment and I don't think they are going to let him out until the care is sorted out. He seems to have blood pressure problems. Is that common? I can't remember... Anyway, the reason I write is that a lady () contacted the US LBDA and one of the medical specialits over here asking about any charities in the UK that she could help with. All roads lead to so she wound up talking to me. I met today. She has some very useful skills for seting things up here in the UK and, more importantly, she is fired up about the project. She really wants to do it. So it looks like the fledgling LBDA in the UK is about to take a few very big steps. Here I go again! Wish us luck. Sally, I really need to talk to you about this. Will try and call at the weekend. , you still around? You want to be part of this? Courage, Jan Colello, I've really missed talking to you two. Hope you are both ok. Love to you from my side of the pond. Sandie, Sorry I haven't written for a while. Blame Abby! Abby, I said I'd write to you before I wrote to Sandie again. I just haven't had chance. I will write though. Promise. Cake care, sending you all my love. in chilly Kent
