Let's see.... I got trained in TK last June, but didn't start teaching right away. I guess I started a class in September teaching 2 times a week, then added another in Oct twice a week (but this is the one I gave up last month), then started teaching 2 days a week at the YMCA in January. the class I teach there technically isn't my class. I'm filling in for the TK instructor while she is on maternity leave. She comes back in June. I'm begging for a class of my own once she comes back, but the girl that teaches TK is awesome to let me teach part of the class.... I just don't get paid for it and I don't get to do my own stuff, you know? Like she decides what we are going to do, then gives me something like the abs or legs section. I love being able to plan my classes and mixing it up however the class wants it.

Yeah I think I would like Zumba more, but not the way it's taught at our Y. It's just not intense enough for me and I feel like it's just for "fun". That may be fine for some, but not for me. ;)TeenaSubject: Re: my workout todayTo: exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 10:26 AM

Yay Teena! How long have you been teaching now? Making your own TK mixes is really fun! Often the Best Of's that come out aren't MY best of's..so I make my own.As for Zumba, I hear lots of great things about it and I think it really depends a lot on the instructor. I like doing these workout at home where no one can see me because I'm kinda klutzy with dance workouts, though I LOVE them!

Wait til you've taught twice a week for  year.  You'll be AMAZED at how far you've come and how easy it is to learn a new round!  I remember when I first started it took me 2 weeks to learn Round 15, now I can learn a new round in 2-3 hours.

Fun stuff!  I like dance workouts as warmups to something more intense.
