Hi Jenifer

I sure hope you are feeling good today...I am beginning to get my feet back

under me...and moving about a little bit better today...Slow but sure....

I'll try to explain about my particular problems and hope I can present it

so it makes any sense at all to you....

I know you already know what Fibro is....so my back...As we all know every

nerve in our body is in some way connected to the spine. I have

degenerative spine disease in my back as well as Rheumatoid Arthritis...

What happens is when the RA swells the bones are already dislocated or

deteriorated in my spine which causes excruciating pain as well as causing

the fluids to press against the nerves in the spine causing paralysis from

my waist down.....and the swelling also causes my spine to protrude against

my lungs causing me great difficulty in breathing....Does this make any

sense?

You are so right , there are millions of people with chronic pains, some who

have never been diagnoses...other suffering from a malady for which there is

no clinical name....That is why it is so important for the support to one

another....People who have not suffered and are still judgmental against

those who are suffering be damned..(even uncaring Doctors)...They should be

ashamed....and should be thanking someone, somewhere, everyday of their life

that their life hasn't been interrupted with something, they have no control

over...Oh, honey I didn't mean to get up on my soap-box, and this is not an

excuse, but just an explanation.....I have had a pretty rough last couple

weeks and I'm afraid my p_ _s and vinegar is starting to return......I think

most would agree that having to live with chronic pain is not for the faint

of heart nor is it for Sissy's we have to hang

tough....LOL.....Jeanne....Thank you so much for writing to me....I really

am a nice person and I love hearing from you......

Hi Jeanne,

You made perfect sense, so you have to be really cautious to avoid

flare-ups, caused by particular movements. Then sometimes ya never know what

causes

those bad days. Gosh darn it, that must be horrible! Please feel free to

express yourself openly with me. I mean it, I understand:-)

My pain doctor doesn't have much time to listen to me. I have 15 minutes for

$130. I believe most of them are numb and turn a deaf ear to pain levels.

They write prescriptions and run tests, to substantiate the use of said

medications. I shouldn't complain though, because I know what it's like to be

left

in pain. Somebody has to care and be able to relate, otherwise it's too darn

depressing. No matter how bad we get, we need still something to look

forward to each day, and to not lose hope.

I wonder how many women have said " this pain is worse than childbirth? "

One lesson I've learned is to not be such a quiet & patient patient! If I

ever have to go to the ER again, I'm literally gonna scream...yep I am, lol:)
