Incidentally, I recently learned my doctor (whom I last saw last January) has since sold his practice and moved to another location, still in the same area. I can't help but wonder why he didn't just move. Since he is a young man, why would he sell his practice and have to start over? I'm thinking I may not be the only one of his patients to have been harmed from overmedication by this man, and that someone has sued him and and maybe for financial reasons he had to start over. Can anyone think of another explanation? If I'm right, I hope and pray he's learned a lesson and won't be making his new patients sick (at least not with Lipitor!). I have no intention of suing him myself; on the other hand, I wouldn't hesitate to take on Pfizer if I thought I had any hope of winning!

And with things like this happening , the present residing president is trying to put a cap on lawsuits so the Dr's will have even more freedom to get away with killing and maiming anyone without having to be responsible in any way, shape or form .

About 12-13 years ago, I started out on 10 mg. first on Lescol, but then was switched to Lipitor within a year or two. Over the years the dosage was increased to 20, then 40 mg. About two years ago my doctor upped the dosage to 80 mg. a day. I had already been experiencing side effects with the lower dosages but didn't connect them to the medication (very stupid of me to expect that my doctor would make that connection if there were one to be made!). Within a few months on 80 mg. I was deteriorating rapidly with muscle pain and weakness, mental confusion, memory loss, some loss of kidney function, and neurological problems. Still my doctor blamed me for not exercising enough--as if I were able to!

Indeed, it sounds fishy. If you are in the USA:

You can check your physician's background and license status to see

if there are any complaints filed.

Try searching on " <Your State> medical board " in Google

or " Practitioner Profile " . Each state has some type of reporting

system. Most are self reporting, but they are supposed to report

legal actions taken against them or report board final

disciplinary action taken against them.

Or go right to the AMA:

AMA - Reporting ethical violations

http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2509.html

From this page you select your state.

Yes...the Admin is trying to limit the amount of "awards" that ppl killed and ruined by FDA approved meds, are trying to sue for. They will get their way. The FDA, Drug Co's and courts are all run by most of the same circle of FREINDS. Oh Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only we could overhaul the whole circle of them ,and replace them with "For the people and of the people once again ! "But that won't happen so all we can do is protect ourselves the best we can ,and stay informed and alert ; it's a really sad world that things have come down to this !
