I for one think you are VERY strong to at least try to work in spite of your pain. I know ivetried it a few times over the yrs and just cant do it so am on disability. Is there any way you can get disability even for just a little while? I hope you are doing ok, feeling ok and know we are here for you!!! I go to see my Rheumy tomorrow and I can not wait! I really need some kind of help here. I've tried for disability about 4 years ago after my back surgery and was denied and tried again about 2 years ago and was denied again. Seems having Migraines every day along with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis in several places including my back, and Sleep Apneain isn't good enough for disability. The worst part of it was that I really wanted to try to keep working my part time job but really needed the money to fall back on for medical bills, medications etc. I was denied because I am working part time! They really don't try to encourage you,huh? I guess when it gets to the point that I can not go in part time then maybe I could try again? Until my kids are grown up and out of this house I just do not have the finances to NOT work. With my medical bills we need all the extra cash we can get. It's a horrible circle I am in! You will get denied but what you have to do is get an atty (they dont ask for money up front-if u get back pay they take a percentage but its worth it) and have a lawyer fight an appeal for you especially if your unable to get through 20hrs of work...it shows your at least trying but now unable. i understand about the medical bills...im uninsured at this point and have been fighting disability for the past 6 yrs now...wow i had to think...ive had rsd 7 yrs and been fighting ssd almost the whole time..what a mess. this country is falling to pieces and more needs to be done for people in our spots...
