that is a new one to me, but it sounds a bit like binding the breasts, or

contant rps on the whole breast for a prolonged period, eh?

i heard a new one too the other day that still has me rolling my eyes. a

friend who is breastfeeding and calls me for advice spoke with a different

friend (they are both long distance) who told her that there are hairs

growing all along the inside of the milk ducts, and if you comb your breast

with a haircomb, it gets all the hairs laying the same direction and

prevents breast cancer!!!

i can only imagine that she was told to use a comb to clear plugged ducts

(i have a vague memory of this technique, but does anyone else have a

clearer memory?) and somehow made the leap to internal hair and breast

cancer. hmmmmm....

Jan Ellen,

I know that RPS stands for Reverse Pressure Softening. However, I'm not familiar with "WMH". Can you please explain what it stands for.

I can't wait to hear more about the plastic wrap trick as I'm not familiar with it either.

The comb technique I have heard of. I saw it on the kellymom site - she

recommended getting in the shower and using soap or lotion (?) with the comb

to gently massage as a treatment for plugged ducts. Nothing at all

mentioned about the hairs inside the milk ducts. :-)
