Guest guest
I went on the pill in order to help regulate my periods which were very ong and heavy, 2 or more weeks per month. Sort of graphic, sorry. But, the point is, that the doctors said I would even out, especially when Im on Prednisone, which causes irregularities. Anyway, it didn't work, just got over a 3 weeker and have been switched to a really storn pill. Any research on our medications making the pill less effective? Guest guest
Hi all, Sherry and Leah, For those of you with girls who are having their periods. Have you tried putting them on the pill? I heard a news story recently that said that women only need to menstruate about 3 or 4 times a year. You just keeping taking the pill and then avery 3 months or so you stop and have a period. Modern women have many many more menstrual cycles than women and girls did in the past because of birth control. So the doctors believe it is safe to only menstruate the 4 times a year or so. Of course you would have to think about being on the pill and the side effects, but I believe it is pretty safe. Marisa
Guest guest
Hi, I haven't heard that a pill will make you have your periods a couple of times of a year. That's neat that they have a pill. For anyone in Texas, just be careful driving tomorrow. FYI it's sleeting and freezing rain here in Texas, where I'm at anyways near Dallas. If I have to take my finals tomorrow, please pray for me. From, ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web. That's neat that they have a pill. What they do is take it continuously, skipping the " week off " that we used to do when I was on the pill 100 years ago. EVery three months you stop for a week, have your period and start back up the following sunday. j

Guest guest
HI LINDY, MY NAME IS CINDI, I BELIEVE THAT THE M PILL IS METHOTREXATE. I HAVE BEEN ON EVERYTHING IN 3 YEARS. FIRST I TOOK IT ORALLY AND I WAS JUST SO SICK FROM IT. THEN I STARTED ON INJECTIONS ONCE A WEEK. BUT I WAS SICK 4 DAYS OUT OF 7, SO 2 MONTHS AGO, HE LOWERED THE DOSAGE, I AM STILL SICK. SO I CALLED HIM AND QUIT TAKING MY SHOTS COMPLETELY......I SEE HIM THIS WEDNESDAY, AND WE ARE GOING TO TRY SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFENT NOW.....SOME PEOPLE TOLERATE IT REALLY WELL, I DID NOT....I WAS SO SICK TO MY STOMACH AND THE DIARREHHA WAS TERRIBLE......BUT AT LEAST GIVE IT A GOOD TRY, IT TAKES YOU BODY TIME TO ADJUST TO IT AND YOU SHOULD BE TAKING FOLIC ACID WITH IT. IF YOUR DOC DID NOT TELL YOU THIS, BUY SOME FOLIC ACID AT THE STORE AND TAKE IT EVERY DAY. GOOD LUCK ! CINDI
