Guest guest
Dear : I hope is doing better and he is able to be helped at his appointment today. He has been doing so well, just think of this as a minor set back and that he will be on the road to recovery soon. Will keep him in our prayers, God Bless, annette and alissa > >Reply-To: PedPIDonelist >To: >Subject: Need a wing and a prayer >Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2000 07:25:38 -0500 > >Hi everyone, >Well, it is Wednesday and 7am in the morning. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Well, it is Wednesday and 7am in the morning. The reason I am sitting here on the PC is because I am dreading getting dressed because it will bring me one step closer to waking up to go to the doctor this morning. since Saturday he has had this nasty flu bug going around (Mandy brought it home from daycare last Wednesday). We nursed him over the weekend and kept him out of the ER. Then Monday, I took him to the pediatrition and he got a 600cc bolus (fast) IV and a small bottle. After finishing both of those he pee'd a tiny bit and didn't vomit so we got to go home instead of being admitted at MCG. As soon as I got him home he vomited and continued to do so until about 9pm (he has also had diarhea since Saturday bretty bad). We didn't bo into HBOT Monday because he was sick. Then yesterday he was better (no fever or vomiting but still had diarhea) but was well enough to go into the chamber and he did ok. Then about 5pm he started vomiting again and is still pretty run down. He is is limp as a dish rag (have been getting some really good streaches in his legs while I sit with him which is the only good point to this). Anyhow, I am going to give him a bottle (one his usual size instead of a 2 oz one) and if that comes back up then its off to the doctor to probably be admitted. I was hoping that we could keep him out of the hospital, but now I am not to sure. He has lost about 2 pounds already and we can see the loss in his arms, legs, neck and he has no butt left, only bone. About the only thing they will be able to do for him is give him an IV until he is ready to eat again. I am praying that with some miracle I will hear him get up soon and be back to his old self. If he does get admitted, say for the rest of the week, it could affect out HBOT status and he may be expelled from the study. This is truly breaking my heart beause it has helped him so much already. I have fought extra hard since December to keep him healthy and go figure, its the end of winter that he gets sick. Anyhow, please say a prayer that recovers really soon. And send me some mental energy, I need it right now.
