Guest guest
Thanks everybody. I met mom at the NH. She was like she was at the hospital at first, but did wake to eat some mashed potatoes, squash, ice cream, and 2 glasses of cranberry juice (she was so thirsty!). She opened her eyes for me once. She asked me what was happening - I told her she had a test, and there will be no more tests, that we'll get her comfortable again and go back to just visiting and loving her like before... She said that she was very tired - I told her that the medications are making her sleepy. She did say " I love you. " and I thanked her... The family priest called me last night to see how I was doing. He doesn't think mom has much time left and asked if I'm OK with that. I said that I just wanted mom back to the NH and back to where she was like before the biopsy, so we can just love her for who she is now. That I no longer want to SAVE mom, just to LOVE mom... We don't have the results of the biopsy yet. But I don't believe, at this time, that there will be anything that will change things... Most others think she won't get back to where she was (before the biopsy) - but I do... I won't give up on her...
