Guest guest
Hi guys!!! i understand how youd be worried without health insurance...ive been without since i became disabled. When i was pregnant i got medicaid but that was basically til pregnancy ended. It is very hard without insurance=wish you didnt also have to face this. also with ssd....you do have to wait 2 yrs to get medical coverage from what i understand. it isnt immediate. i was told when i am approved for ssd i can go down to state office and get state insurance until the medicare kicks in. They wont give it to me now cause i havent been ''deemed disabled'' by ssd even though ALL of my medical records state i am AND im on long term disability. this system just doesnt make sense sometimes but we do what we can to get by. take care you guys!!!! ps...ssd lawyers can only take out a percentage of your back pay money as pay- i think its 13% or 5300.00 whichever is greater. > > Hi > > I too am on LTD from my employer.
