Information on Mercury Toxicity and Chelation

If anyone is interested in information on mercury toxicity and

chelation (detoxification) an excellent website is the Autism-Mercury

list here at Yahoo Groups.

Autism is being linked to the mercury in childhood vaccines

(thimerosal) as well as other sources such as maternal amalgam which

may leak mercury to the developing fetus. These are theories at

this time, as yet unproven. Some autistic children, however, are

showing dramatic gains with the use of mercury chelation. (The FDA

has now banned thimerosal in vaccines, although older stocks

containing mercury remain in supply.) Chelation remains a new

practice as far as it relates to mercury, although lead chelation and

the drugs used for it have been in use for about 50 years.

If you'd like to access information written by Hall Cutler,

PhD., a Princeton-taught scientist who has studied chelation and

written a book on it called Amalgam Illness, go to the Files section

in the Autism-Mercury list and look at all information by Andy, such

as the Andy Index, which answers many questions on chelation,

including the tricky task of diagnosing mercury poisoning and his

rationale for the protocol that he recommends.

My sister has MS and my daughter is autistic, hence my interest in

the autism list and in this one. I don't know if mercury is at all

related to MS. My purpose is to offer a source of information on

mercury which I have found to be comprehensive and useful, since the

subject sometimes appears on this list.
