Hi ;

I know this is terribly OT, but I was wondering if you sell chickens

and if so how much do you charge? I have such a hard time finding

chicken that is somewhat reasonably priced and yet raised in a decent

way. Most of the chickens I find cost between $17-25 each. I refuse

to eat regular store bought chicken, but can't really afford much at

that price. Is that fairly standard for good quality chicken? Are

they that expensive to raise?

By the way, I pay $3/dozen for fabulous eggs and am happy to do so

because they are sooo great.

TIA for any advice...I've been searching for a chicken source for

over a year now with no success.

Thanks;

Jill

Hi Sherri and Tammy;

I didn't know there was a pastured poulty group - I'll definately

check it out.

Tammy - $7-10 for a whole pastured chicken? I'd buy a freezer full

of them if I could find some at that price!! How much is that per

pound, roughly? I'm just looking for some nice pastured chickens -

fresh or frozen, I'd prefer ones that aren't fed soy, but that seems

to be impossible.

Thanks for the suggestions.
