Mom was in the last stages for over a year. She had some signs but not all

of them. Then toward the last I feel she helped her dying along. She quit

eating then quit drinking. I think she had had enough and felt it was time to

go. My Mom ,in her right mind, didn't want to be a burden on anyone. I

feel she had lucid moments and in those moments she decided to put an end to

the

pain and confusion she was in.

One of the things I noticed about a month before she passed is the pain she

was in when anyone touched her. No matter how gentle you tried to be she

hurt when touched. She also black and blued easily.

My only regret is that she was in a Hospice unit and not at home when she

passed away. I was with her but she wanted to be in her own bed. She was put

in the unit because they could care for her better than I could at that

point.

My Prayers and Hugs go out to you and your family,

Jacqui

Hi. I am new to the group as of today. I am Jan, married, have two grown

daughters that have given us 3 beautiful grandchildren, ages 1,7,11 and one on

the way. I have had 5 back surgeries with severe nerve damage and have had two

knee replacements which did not help the damaged nerves in the legs. I have an

implanted spinal cord stimulator. I am trying to find things to keep be " busy " .

I am very happy to have found this group. :o) jan
