Thanks, Bogie. That is certainly eye-opening! Incidentally, I just ran across an interesting item in the morning newspaper: "Public Citizen announces WorstPills.org, which lists prescription drugs the group says are dangerous and provides alternatives." Of course I went right to the website, but to check on a specific drug you have to pay for a year's subscription--$15.00. I did find the following on the free part of the site:

The referenced study found that 37% of these adverse reactions were not reported to the doctor, presumably because patients did not realize the reactions were due to the drug. I have paid the 15 and have seen many such articles. Both my parents died of cancers. Both my parents took Statins. I'm working my way off of them....slow BUT SURE!! Carlisle wrote:

Bogie, they had statins back in your parents time?

I thought they were new to the last 5 years or so?

Why Thank You.....I haven't been called that in a long time. A Young Kid that is!!!!!! My Mom passed in 2000.......I know she had one of them for sure. My Dad passed away in "96". I know he took something for chol......what it was for 100% sure?????......to tell you the truth...I'd have to look up his records. I know it was sumtin. Again....thanx... :>)anssepha wrote:
