Hi - I have to confess, after having a great workout w/ Mari on Friday I succumbed to temptation and purchased her Core Plus Reformer Kit. I am feeling tad guilty - esp b/c I paid full price and Amazon has it for $6 less (and I need to do an Amazon order anyway for some books for DD). But, I have had my eye on it for awhile and I really enjoyed my workout w/ Mari yesterday - I even have DOMS from it! Anyway, just had to 'fess up. Also, has anyone been bitten by a cat? My cat bit me - in a playful way but it broke the skin and really hurts. I've used peroxide, soap & water and neosporin to clean it out - should I do something else? Guess i should go google that... Guest guest
Have fun with Ms. Winsor, Donna! I look forward to hearing about her torture! As for the cat bite, I'd treat it as a puncture wound Not really sure what that means other than cleaning it as best you can with hydrogen peroxide and maybe some neosporin on it. Judy: Have fun with your bike! And remember you can always do bodyweight squats and lunges. I suggest Debbie Sieber's Slim in 6 and Slim Series workouts - many of them don't require any weights at all! They are kind of boring sometimes, but effective! Guest guest
Thanks, ! I am going to test out the little device that came w/ the winsor kit - and then, if I like the way it feels, I may return it to Target and then get it either at Amazon ($6 off) or Borders (if they have it and i have the 33% off coupon that circulates frequently). If I'm going to spend, I might as well try to get stuff on sale! I've been doing the Hydrogen Peroxide thing....it doesn't feel any worse, but it doesn't feel better either. I read that most cat bites end up getting infected b/c they ahve a lot of nasty crud in their mouths! GRR! At least it was my own cat and I know he his healthy and up to date on his shots. Guest guest
Too funny on the winsor kit, Donna! Funnier that I can see myself doing that too! I hope the bite feels better quick! I think when I had cats and one was a kitten he nipped me pretty good but the hydrogen peroxide did the trick and I was fine. That was almost 20 years ago and I'm still here, so it must have worked!! :-) Re: Confession on no-buy & cat bite ? Have fun with Ms. Winsor, Donna! I look forward to hearing about her torture! Guest guest
Actually, cats are one of the cleanest animals on the planet. They have enzymes in their saliva that have antibacterial properties. When my cat was injured and had cuts on his sides, I was wanting to clean it and put him in a cone so I could put neosporin on it, my vet said no. He said the enzymes in his own saliva would be better then any OTC stuff I could use so I was just to bathe him every other day and let him clean it himself mostly. He had to get on antibiotics too because of it being a wound from an unknown source and him being outside so the vet didn't want to take any chances on an infection in the blood stream. But the bite wounds I had from bathing him so often (Have you ever tried to bathe a cat? That is the definition of insanity!) all healed wonderfully with just a little soap and water and not much else. I think I might have used peroxide and neosporin the first day but that was it. I'm a firm believer in allowing air to the wounds and letting our natural healing systems do their job, so I didn't even cover them. Thanks, !
