Guest guest
How much should you take and how? Cinnamon that is! Terri My Doctor said try Cinnamon I had a doctor appointment this morning. My cholesterol is over 300 and he wants me to get it down. He thinks it is important to do so. I was going to ask him about cinnamon however he brought it up first. Said it was a good study and that he thought I should try it as it seems to actually work. It helps blood sugar also. He has three others that also began cinnamon recently, but none with as high a cholesterol as mine. Bogie, have you tried the cinammon? I can not get it here in Kenosha already in capsules, so I will order some or somehow take the powder.
Guest guest
He said to start with 500 mg. in a.m. and 500 mg. in p.m. I finally found the 500 mg capsules at Walgreens. It was not yet on the shelves as they told me it was a new product. It is Nature's Bounty, 1000 mg per serving is what they say for glucose control. -- In TakingLipitorAndHateIt , " Terri Lawler " <twinsn3@a...> wrote: > How much should you take and how? Guest guest
My husband, a type 2 diabetic, started taking cinnamon on toast twice a day in June. Since then his blood sugar has lowered. As a bonus his LDL has gone down to 70--which is optimal. His doctor, six months ago gave him a prescription for Lipitor, which I insisted he not fill. I have been struggling with Lipitor for years and have finally taken myself off. I won't subject my loved one to this agony. We also take fish oil tabs twice daily and are happy with those results. Guest guest
HI Gloria: Glad to hear that Cinnamon has helped your husband. It gives me hope. I do think my blood sugar is better. I have not had any low blood sugar problems after eating a higher sugar breakfast. I also worry about my husband. He was on higher doses of Lipitor for several years. Now the doctor wanted his cholesterol even lower and put him on Crestor. He already has a damaged heart and has had open heart surgery and 3 stent placements. He seems to be getting weaker every day and uses more nitroglycerin.
