Guest guest
Thanks for the Happy MOM'S Day, Jerry...it really was a nice touch. I had a wonderful day wading in the ocean with my mom and kids. The ascites still makes me look pregnant, so I had to opt for sexy towel coverage! My tummy wounds from the hysterectomy are healing nicely now that I am restricting my lift limits to 10#. When GYN was in there, he took pictures and I wish I had a scanner to show you what a sick liver looks like while it is still operating at 15%. (it looks gross and nodular and kinda slimey -- had your dinner yet?) You remain in our prayers always,
Guest guest
.... What`s your transplant status? Ascites is a joy to have and to behold (BTDT)... I can`t remember if you are listed yet, hmm? My liver looked like a bumpy shriveled lump of clay... I wished I had asked if I could take it home for show and tell... it might have made an impression when I give leads at AA meetings lol.... Keep on fighting the good fight, be good to your kids.... all will be better soon. I just know it. God bless.. Jerry Thanks for the Happy MOM'S Day, Jerry...it really was a nice touch. Guest guest
Hey Jerry... BTDT ? If I stretched my encephalopathic brain..."bite the depressive themes", "be the ditty today", "beware the drug tests", "bear the darn trials".......what??? Re: list...I have been seen by the transplant team in Miami and had all the preliminary tests done, My Child-Pugh score (due to adequately WNL albumin, and bili) was just 7, so in spite of the 4 esophageal bleeds, 3 separate bandings of varices, about 10 transfusions, documented ascites, 2 laparoscopic biopsies confirming severe cirrhosis, high ammonia levels, and the usual pruritis and joint pain...Miami wants to wait till my bilirubin is high enough to turn me yellow. OK, I'll wait...perhaps the meds are working...perhaps the prayers are working...perhaps I will wait. I'm on blood work every 2 weeks, but everything is messed up due to my recent surgery...so I wait. I'm told that I am on the list and have pilots on call, but Miami wants me to wait (my COBRAinsurance expires in Nov). Right now, I am mightily praying for Genny and Jodi...and for all who are ill with this disease. May God bless you and keep you,
Guest guest
Hi Harper, You have always been such a good friend to all of us...answering every posting with a reply. When I first found this group in Jan 2000, I believe it was you first who caught my attention as a person with understanding and compassion. Thanks for all you do! Hugs and prayers,
Guest guest
Now that's the truth! How did God make mothers? What's the difference between moms and dads? 1.- Moms work at work and work at home, and dads just got to work at work.
Guest guest
Amazing isn't it and we don't think twice about all the things we do until we get sick and need someone else to do them for us. God bless, Althea
