Guest guest Posted February 8, 2006 Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 I have read the posts regarding lyrica and have posted quite sometime ago about my success with it. I have severe neuropathy in my feet that even water or air will send me crazy with pain. I had been on neurontin (1600) a day then slowly switched to lyrica. Decreasing one and increasing the other. I started on lyrica with the 50's and now take the 75's 3x's a day. I do not have pain when I am sitting and much better when I shop which I could not even do before. I did have a bout with sleepiness but could overcome that by getting up and moving around. I had no weight gain as I cooked just the same as before I changed from neurontin to lyrica. I am much more alert and do drive to do errands etc. I am rather sedentary but do get up to do my housework, laundry etc. As far as I am concerned it is the best medicine that I have ever had. Now this works in combination with the duragesic patch that I change every two days. Just my own experience that I wanted to share.
