Well, it's the morning after. My glory day of yesterday's 10K has vanished like sands in the hour glass and the days of our lives..I placed 592 of 980 and am thrilled with this result! Mostly I just wanted to finish without walking, which I did. They say I completed it in 1 hour, 8 minutes. Sounds about right.

I wasn't going to work out today except that1) it's raining outside and I didn't feel like walking in it2) I'm broke and don't want to go window shopping out of fear of spending $ on stuff I don't need

3) I really need to stretchI did 250 calories's worth, or around 22 minutes on the recumbent bike, if the display panel is to be believed. I did the weight loss course and volleyed from an easy level 7 to an easy level 10. I mostly just wanted to get my muscles warm to stretch them. I did the usual lower body stretches and got to chat with this woman named whom I admire at work. She is a runner in her 50's and in fantastic shape, I want to have her runners' physique someday. Anyway we talked about various races and it just felt nice to talk to a kindred spirit about running.

I have three more 10K's coming up, all 2 weeks apart from one another. After that I think a 12 or 15K is in order. By the end of 2011 I would like to do a half marathon.
