Guest guest
Gentleman, Before I went to India for the Steel-Bow, I was working with China on the strap version. There was a definite language problem and certain points on the unit were structurally unsound. After repeated efforts to correct these flaws, including a review of the product by Gert Kolbel, I abandoned the model and took my ideas to Bullworker Enterprises of India, who had much more experience in the production of Bullworkers. I have been very pleased with the expertise Bullworker Enterprises and look forward to a long and "progressive" relationship with their efforts. One year later, I see ads for this China proto-type under the name of Bullworker X-5 and all I can say is if you are interested in this model, I have nothing to do with it and the models I received from them were very inferior and subject to structural malfunction. This is classic Trademark rip-off and the possible perils of dealing with China. Bullworker spec4sosbee wrote: Hi everyone. I'm a new member and this is my first post. I exercise with free weights, heavy resistance bands and bullworkers. I currently have 4 bullworker models - 80s Model Bullworker X-5, Lady bullworker (which I use for high rep work on the harder exercises), a 78 Macho-Power, and my most recent purchase from ebay - an original greenhandled Tensolator that is in almost like new condition. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has or knows anything about the smaller Bullworker that was made and/or sold in China ? I would really like to get my hands on one of these. It is approximately the same height as the lady bullworker and appears the same tube-in-tube in construction and has 100 pounds of compression and 7 inches compression distance. There is a pic of it here (see M) : http://bullworker-usa.com/If anyone has any information about this item and where I may acquire one please let me know. This is a great forum and I'm glad to have found it. Keep up the good work!Grant Be a better pen pal. Text or chat with friends inside Yahoo! Mail. See how. Guest guest
Hi, Mr. , everyone... Thanks for the information, but I'm not sure we are speaking about the SAME model. This particular model looks nothing like the x-5, is about 28 inches long (just like the lady bullworker from the 70s) and has cables instead of straps. Again, I refer you to the picture located on this page (see M): http://bullworker-usa.com/ To me, this model looks like a good solid piece of equipment, but is just a picture and I haven't been able to find any information on it in my searches online, thus my queery here on this forum. I assume this model was made back in the late 70s or early to mid 80s. If I'm wrong about any of the above then I apologise in advance and look forward to any corrections. I just thought it'd be kinda neat to own a bullworker of the height/build of the old lady bullworker with 100 pounds total compressio, but thats just me! lol Grant > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Thanks for all of the above information and I shall take everything into consideration. That being said, if Mr. has a spare Model M he'd like to sell to me (lol) then he should contact asap! : ) Like Mr. said, I also have and use 4 different models of bullworkers currently, and each has their own appeal and uses for me. For example, I too like to use the lady bullworker on those harder exercises - presses behind the back (the most difficult of bullworker exercises) as well as overhead for the deltoids (which im proud to say I can fully close the lady for several reps now! - nothing like the thrill of progress!). When it comes to back exercises though, the x5 is my favorite - the straps are so comfortable in the hands and its so much easier to get a full contraction in the lats when doing the " strap pulldowns " as i call them, with the end of the bullworker resting upon a leg while seated. That really hits my lats good. When it comes to doing biceps or chest I prefer the " smoother " sliding motion of my Macho Power, and now, I think my newly acquired circa 1967 Tensolator (with original manual!) will make the Macho obsolete for me - anyone interested in trading a MODEL M for it? Ok, gotta run. Thanks for all the interesting and very informative comments. Grant > > Hi everyone.
