Guest guest
It sounds as if you own a BW2. All 3 of my Tensolators have dark green cables and are considerably thicker than the BW2's cables. The Tensolators all have made in Germany on them. After all, this is where they were first made. The exercises in the Tensolator manual are mostly different than in the BW2 manual. As I stated in a previous email, I believe mine with Tensolator- Bullworker is a transition model. The other two have darker handles and only say International Patent Pending. It has the green handles and the manual and wall poster that came with it called it theBullworker 2 (I no longer have the wall poster). The manual has a picture in page 3 of a unit with the "New built-in power meter" but my unit did not have this. On the same page as the picture, the unit is described as 34 1/2" long and weighs only 3 1/2 pounds. However, the unit used by the models in the rest of the manual did not have any power meters. My unit has brownish cables, but the manual shows units that have greenish cables. Both ends of the handles have the inscription, "Patented in Great Britain Sweden France Germany Spain Other Patents Pending" (in all-caps and no punctuation).Oh, and I only noticed this now! In one of the handles nearthe tube, there's an inscription "Made in England."I've been looking at data of Bullworkers and Tensolatorsbeing sold in Ebay, and I saw one which showed a Tensolatormanual that looked exactly like the Bullworker 2 manual(at least, the cover) except that its title was "Tensolator."Some Tensolators have power meters, others don't. In contrast, all Bullworker 2s being sold now have power meters. So I'm wondering, what do I have? Well, it was a Bullworker 2when we got it, but all of the BW 2s I see being sold havepower meters.I'm thinking: Is it possible that the Bullworker 2 and theTensolator are one and the same? just different names in different places? I seem to remember reading somewhere inthose times that Tensolator was just another name of theBW 2 in certain countries. And to me, a Tensolator with a power meter would be a later model than my meterless BW2. Well, there could be differences between the two, but could they only be differences due to quality control? I bought two X5 Golds some two years apart, and the second had a strongerspring. So it might be that any differences between theTensolator and the Bullworker 2 were just manufacturingdifferences as well?Just musing.Gerry Get easy, one-click access to your favorites. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I should think that I have a BW2 since that is what we ordered. It's just that there are all these variants being sold. I think the cable color is a distinguishing feature then between the Tensolator and the Bullworker 2. About the manuals, take a look at this item in Ebay (sale ended already): http://tinyurl.com/2o4bry Is this the Tensolator manual you're referring to? If so, are the exercises really different? The cover is exactly like my BW2 manual, except for the title. There is a scanned copy of the BW2 manual in the Files section of this group. Thanks again. Guest guest
Let me start by admitting I made a mistake; the handles on my Tensolators state International Patent. The manual has several exercises omitted from the BW2 manual. Maybe, it is because these exercises show the Tensolator pitted against the wall, chairs, ceiling, and door jamb. Some of these exercises are tricky to perform - perhaps a safety issue? Gerardo Esguerra wrote: Thanks for the info. I should think that I have a BW2 since that is whatwe ordered.
