Guest guest
exdellent advice my friend excellent advice, i too will use it totry to drown out the stinkin thinkin(love that phrase) hugs sharon -- Re: Re: End Stages , It is very sad to read of your inner torment. Not a single person on earth can ever say that they didn't make mistakes or use bad judgment. What we, the ones who live on must do, is change our thinking patterns. When you find yourself with all of this guilt, remember that there isn't a thing that you can do about the past but there is a lot that you can do in the present Thinking of things which seem to haunt you is just that... the dark side trying to destroy the beauty of your present life. Focus on the good qualities of your mother, your own good qualities and the many blessings that you have. If you have to listen to something to drown out those 'accusing voices' or pray or sing - anything that will help, do so. The continual rethinking just keeps everything very new in your mind instead of letting it gradually fade away as all memories must do. I have had to struggle to put the past behind me and live in the present so I know about what is called in some circles, 'stinkin thinkin.' Please try to deliberately think of something else or use the strategies above whenever the bad thoughts come rushing in. I will try to remember to pray for you.
