Guest guest
hi there, first thanks for worrying about me, my joint pain has increased when they took me off vioxx, but my doctor is keeping in mind the side effects of my drug cocktail as well. 2nd, dad had orthostatic bp, which means his bp fluctuated alot. especailly from laying to sitting to standing to walking, the more active his body became the lower his bp became. originally he was on HCTZ 25 mg *ithink* for high bp and then when his bp went orthastatic he was on fludrocort, which was a bp medicine with a diuretic in it as well. i hope this helps. hugs sharon m Date: 2005/10/15 Sat AM 01:21:27 EDT To: LBDcaregivers Subject: LBD and BP a smile a day, keeps the meanies away!!!! Guest guest
My dad was on Atenolol for a day or two. It caused his heart rate to slow down big time. He passed out and had to go to the ER. Now he's on Licinopril. That doesn't affect the heart rate. Both of these are for high bp. _____ From: LBDcaregivers [mailto:LBDcaregivers ] On Behalf Of gaat Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 1:21 AM To: LBDcaregivers Subject: LBD and BP Hi everyone, I know I keep coming back to LBD and Blood Pressure but I just can't help myself!!!!!!! I was wondering if we could compare notes about what meds/dose our LO's are taking for BP, whether its high or low BP and when they take the meds. My mom takes the follow meds: High blood pressure Altace, 10mgs, 1x daily in the morning Atenolol, 25mgs, 1x daily in the morning I'd love to hear what your LO's are taking and compare notes. Thanks to those who can participate in this. Courage Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
Guest guest
Hello Courage, To respond to your question, my Uncle doesn't take any meds for high or low BP but his BP runs really low at times 83/54, 79/49....so low that I actually ask the doctor if he has passed and we don't know it. ( My Uncle gets a kick out of that one! ) None of his doctors have ever given him anything for low BP. Nice question....Peace to you, Stevie Hi everyone, I know I keep coming back to LBD and Blood Pressure but I just can't help myself!!!!!!!
