Guest guest Posted May 9, 2008 Report Share Posted May 9, 2008 From a professional acquaintance of mine… On the IBLCE site one must enter a name or certification # to look up LCs; on the ILCA site NO LCs are listed for Laredo… Dawn *************************************************************** Anyone got professional connections there (Laredo) especially for lactation? Don't know the geography of Texas and when I didn't find any referrals at DONA I didn't know what other cities to consider. Received a call from a crying mom (in fact a series of calls). Same old same old. Cesarean on Friday.left the hospital with " counsel " to supplement with formula. Fears of no milk and plenty of sadness. As of yesterday when I had a total of about 10 minutes between my 4 hour mother baby gathering, hour and half radio interview and the 3 hour monthly informational meeting I suggested getting naked (both mother and baby) and just going back to bed together for the next 24 hours. Obviously mentioned only using dropper or syringe for any supplementation and ditching the bottles. She's nursing regularly but definitely needs some support and information. Anyone????
