Guest guest
from Dale, Mom to Katy, CVID, age 15. Ursula, I'm so glad you got her seen. Maybe you can get her feeling better before Christmas. Mom's know when somethings wrong. UPDATE ON KATY: Katy did NOT do well going without her IV for 6 weeks. She made it just fine until week 5. Then she started major sinus gunk, major intestinal problems, and major tiredness and (speaking of fussiness) irritability. We were all praying that she would be able to stretch it, but it just didn't work. The immunologist just called and said her trough level wasn't really all that bad, only down to mid-700 as opposed to 900 for her 4 week trough. But in light of her reaction, he wants to return to the 4 week. I am so relieved because I just don't want to go through this well/sick/well/sick pattern. She did so good at 4 weeks. I'm so thankful for an immunologist that isn't going to go " by the book " and that listens to my input! YEAH!!!!! We're going to try to travel on Wednesday if her intestinal upsets behave. She's also dealing with really stuffy sinuses so we're really pushing the guaifenesin. She won't do the sinus rinses -- but I keep reminding her anyway! Mom's are SOO aggravating when you are 15. That's our news. I may not be on for a while as I'll be taking care of my parents for 2 weeks. Wishing each one of you a very special Christmas as you take time to think of the true meaning of Christmas: " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
