Wow thanks jacqui, and i was thrilled to meet you as well. and it was my

pleasure to read such a wonderful tribute that your daughter wrote. jacqui is

right the symposium went GREAT, no actually FANTASTIC a great hig five to

carol for all of her hard work and coordination and for all that she

accomplished, her speakers both doctors, made us caregivers feel so important

and appreciated. they understood, yes people i said UNDERSTOOD what we go thru

and had wonderful advice and hints for all of us, and i would suggest that

everyone get the dvd/cd when it is available. with Gordon and , jacqui,

phillip and myself all gave important advice that everyone could appreciate, i

talked about hte inappropraite sexual comments actions, john talked about being

honest and hallucinations, the rest you will have to hear for yourself, cant let

all the good stuff out, lol

big thanks to the city, the hosp and the docs that gave their time it was a

great symposium

great to meet some faces that i talk to online and to share some stories with

others that came to the symposium.

hugs to all sharon

ps carol and barb are wonderful hosts. hugs sharon

Hi

I'd like to add my 2 cents about the symposium. I was there and want to

thank Carol and her team for doing such a fantastic job in putting this

together.

We had 2 speakers who informed about Lewy Body and what to expect. We then

had a panel to answer questions about our experiences and what we did about it.

I'll be honest, I didn't expect 150 people to come. There was even an over

flow list. Maybe next year we will need a bigger place. I hope to be a

little more involved next year.

Thank You Coral Springs Medical Center also. They provided food and drink

and the room to hold this event.

I finally met Sharon and that was a treat. She is something else. With all

her own problems she is the most active person I've ever met. I don't think

she knows how to sit still. She also helped me by reading a tribute to my

Mom that my daughter wrote. And her poem tells it like it is for our LO's.

Arts and crafts, poet....what other talents are you hiding? It was GREAT to

finally meet you.

I hope this symposium inspires more people to get together and form more

support groups. Its not that this website isn't great, because it is. Its just

that there is nothing like sitting down face to face and talking over

problems.

My best to all of you,

Jacqui

I am so proud of you all! Great Team Work in getting

it all together. Carol, you are remarkable with all

the schedules you keep and getting everything in order

to make the Symposium a successful event. Kudos to

you all! Jan

Hi Anne,

Someone else may have already answered you because I'm pretty late, but Kath

and Courage are initiating a get together in the near future. I don't know

details yet but just watch the message board and we should know soon. doris in

Dear Donna,

Do you know of any meetings in Toronto for LBD caregivers? It is

very helpful to have this site to hear from different people and what

they are going through, but it would be nice to meet people in

person. I live in Toronto, Ontario, but I don't know of any " face to

face " groups. Can you or anyone else help me here?

Thanks,

Anne, Etobicoke, Ont.

my hope is that one day we can all meet and know each other.

Anne,

I hope you are reading all about the group that is meeting there in Feb.

Courage will be helpful if you didn't find the messages. Otherwise introduce

yourself and I am sure they will welcome you with open arms.

Let me know.
