Guest guest
, First of all I wanted to welcome you and say hello:) I am sorry to hear of the pain your suffering and Im also a rsd patient. Ive had it 5 yrs am now 27yrs old and married 7. I cannot believe that the dr can only see you in august. When i first went to my dr when i got hurt the specialist rehab facility did not have anything for 3 months but he got on the phone with the dr himself and got me in a week later. I would think that your dr could push for you to b seen. Its good that he simply said he doesnt understand your pain and what your going through cause some drs will plainly give up or just overmedicate a person. Maybe seeing you go through this pain will get him up and researching and learning about RSD himself. As for the pain...besides meds that barely touch the pain i often heat up a herbal hot bag my mom bought me at a all and put that on me to help ease pain, in the winter or chilly days i use a heating pad/ elec blanket. I find that heat always helps ease the pain- Dont know if youve heard this before but with RSD....NEVER use ICE or anything cold cause that will flare up pain and possibly aid in the spreading of rsd. Just wanted to bring that to your attention. Know we are here for you sweetie! Moderator
