Guest guest
Dear Sue Kirby-- Contact these people for sources of RawMilk: St. Louis: Barb/Doug Carr 314..428..1102 bdcarr@... And as for your Corporate Husband.... I doubt he'll complain once it's in the Frig. He'll decide one night he really likes it, and then you'll have to fight him for it.... Spouses are funny like that. If he gets some into him, maybe he won't be so crabby.... All those good Fats do something good to a man's character. Tell him you want to get Healthy for all the extra Good Sex he might provide.....lol. Just quietly make delicious Ice Cream and other goodies for your family. It you have teenage boys, the Body-building angle goes over well. Try to keep the re-education down to a minimum unless they ask. Then you can get them into helping you make some Yogurt, and your teaching in in play. Save the Battles for something Strategic. Sneaky works better. Welcome Aboard. --Terry Sue Kirby wrote:> Next... is there anyone near to St. Louis that can provide me with raw milk to try? I've never tried it, and knew there were good benefits for drinking it (the main reason that I joined this board was to read how), but don't know where to get some.> > Also, let it also be known that I am the only one in this household of 7, that goes for anything like this (lol) - my husband is the biggest one that says: "people have been eating these things (nuked popcorn, things cooked in aluminum or teflon, etc) for years and they live long enough; and when microwaves are built, they put meters around them and nobody has ever recorded any radiation around them, otherwise they couldn't sell them; and "living to 70 or 80 is just fine - why would you want to do all this "natural and good for you stuff" just to live longer?, you can't get around much after that age anyway." > > THIS(in a nutshell above)is what I'm up against... so it will just be me re-educating the 4 kids as to what's good for them vs. not and so forth. > I suffer from allergies to mold, and the children to pollens, so I think raw milk would be beneficial for reducing these things. I also suffer from severe arthritis and would feel that raw milk could help reduce my pain from this as well. > I'm the one who is stuck in a suburbanite life and would rather be homesteading (so to speak)- but the hubby is a corporate man and quite satisfied living in 'city-type' atmospheres whereas I'm trying to go back to my grandparents roots and reap the benefits of a simpler life. > > Thanks for reading the rant - I'm just after some raw milk. Guest guest
Ah wonderful! 314 area code isn't that far from me. I'll email them straightaway. I'll have to eventually get recipies for all these goodies once we can manage to get some raw milk in the house. Also, I'm sure it's on the board and I need to search for it... but what does kefir do to your pasturized milk? I think I found a person who is fairly close that will let me have some, and I've been to Dom's site... but what do you do with it after you've made kefir milk? (now to sit back and let the emails roll, LOL) Thanks a million everyone! Sue ps- sneakier is better... esp. for this kind of stuff! lol > Dear Sue Kirby-- > Contact these people for sources of RawMilk: St. Louis: >Barb/Doug Carr 314..428..1102 bdcarr@s... > > And as for your Corporate Husband.... Guest guest
Just received an email back from them... Barb says they have no sources right now and to check with Jo Lee (of which I have just received her list that she had about an hour ago). So... I'll keep on looking. Thanks Terry.
